The owner and several sales people alerted me to the MRAD MK22 unintentional discharge issue circulating around and wondered if there was any connection to Barrett Firearms being purchased by NIOA based in Australia (https://www.nioa.com.au/about).

How are you torquing the #2 action screw? It looks to me that you'd have to use a ball end bit but, wouldn't that make the torque required to meet the spec higher?

Saying it another way, do ball end hex bits apply the same force to the screw for a given torque setting on the wrench as a regular bit?

I'm waiting for my Accuracy International AXSR in 300 Norma Mag to arrive and bought five boxes of Berger 230 gr Hybrid OTM Tactical bullets to try out my rifle and for the Lapua brass. While looking at Micron dies from Bullet Central I was debating between their bushing vs arbor seating die and decided to check the runout on the factory Berger ammo.

I only randomly tested bullets from three boxes and the runout on a small sample set was .004 to .011 runout, so bad on some you didn't need a concentricity gauge to see the runout.

Hey guys, I’m building my Daniel Defense DDM4 V7 into an SPR. It comes with a 16” 1:7 barrel that I’ll be throwing a suppressor onto soon. I’ve had a lot of fun shooting at my local range’s steel range up to 500 meters and would like to get better at it. My question is, what grain 5.56 is best for long distance shooting with my 16” 1:7 barrel? Also, is OTM good to go with? I’m wondering if the open tip affects accuracy.

Excellent condition Desert Tech SRS currently configured in .338 Lapua with the sought after Short Action Customs 26" barrel. The barrel has roughly 100 rounds through it and is an absolute hammer. Genuine .25 moa rifle. I witnessed a friend who is a better shot than I put 5 shots in a .6" group @400yds with 300g lapuas handloads.

Rifle is in excellent condition and the Gen 3 Razor is literally brand new. Optic is the FFP EBR-7D MOA reticle and is mounted in a Nightforce 1.5" 20 MOA unimount. Rifle has not been shot since this optic was mounted. Groups were shot with a GEN 2 Razor that was previously mounted. Seller decided he'd rather concentrate on 6.5 as hard as it is to find somewhere to stretch the .338 in Central KY.

Trying a new rifle this fall in the deer woods. My idea was a rifle that would work well in a blind during the morning and evening, but will also carry well for still hunting during the middle of the day. I went Bergara B-14 Carbon Wilderness (.308), and added an AG Composites stock.

Overall, this rifle is treating me well. I picked up 100 rounds of Federal Powershock, and it shoot 3/4" groups pretty consistently. Hopefully handloads will shoot a little better, but the Powershock's should get the job done this fall.

Has AAC solved their QC issues? The internet is replete with stories of AAC ammo destroying rifles, especially the .300 BO stuff and the heavy 5.56 loads.
I just watched a review of the 110 grain Sabre blade and the velocities were really high, the bullets worked well.
Seems spicy to me.

I am looking for some image stabilized binos.
Played with some in a non-firearms class and could have sworn they were Vortex but I am not seeing them on the Vortex web site.
I *think* I am looking for something in the 10-12x and trying to stay under $1k but wanting image stabilized.

Any recommendations for general range use and spotting targets out to 800-1000 yds
