15.1" Lilja Recce Barrel

Working on a NSW Recce build and just got the barrel I ordered from Lilja. I ordered their 15.1" M4 Recce profile barrel in .223 Wylde. Shipping was lightning fast but king of disappointed when I opened the package. The barrel itself looks to be very nice but the M4 extension is one of the roughest I've ever seen.

- The M4 feed ramps aren’t centered (see the blue circles on the pic)
- There is material behind the lugs still (see red arrows)
- The chamfer around the lugs is off center
- Generally poor machining, seems unfinished, especially around the feed ramps. (see the green circles)

I reached out to Lilja and they pretty much acknowledged the problems and said that they switched to new style of machining this spring and that I had one of the old M4 extensions. They said go ahead and install it and see if you have any issues...that just doesn't sit well with me. For a $575 barrel, one should expect better. I asked to return the barrel and have a newer M4 extension installed on it, still waiting to hear back.

Has anyone else had any issues with Lilja barrels, specifically the M4 extension? If they are unwilling to resolve the issue, I will be looking into other options. Any recommendations out there? I know Craddock has a few options and a great reputation.

Accessories WTT Watch Sinn U50 for U1 or????

I bought this watch off here last year and absolutely love everything about it except the size, it just looks too small on me seeing as I’m a pretty big guy.

Would love to trade it for a Sinn U1 or maybe another larger self winding watch or possibly toward 9mm pistols such as walther steel PDP 5”, Dan Wesson DWX, CZ p10 competition???? Throw me some
Offers.

Would sell for $1800 dropped to $1750 CONUS.

Here is the original ad from here where I bought it. Comes with everything that is in the original ad.

ATF Form 6NIA (Temporary Firearm Import)

Greeting from France,

I'm planning a trip to Texas this summer to experience real freedom, and I’d like to bring one of my bolt. While going through the ATF Form 6NIA, I came across a dilemma: it seems that I must be participating in a competition to qualify under the rules (see below).

I've tried searching online for good ELR/LR ranges in Texas, but I haven't found any upcoming competitions or events. How can I apply to one? I'd love to meet the long-range shooting community there, but it seems difficult to find relevant events even online.

Here’s the part of the form that concerns me:

"Do you possess an invitation and/or registration to attend an upcoming competitive target shooting event or sports or hunting trade show in the United States sponsored by a national, state, or local organization devoted to the collection, competitive use, or other sporting use of firearms?"
If I answer No, it seems I wouldn’t be in compliance with 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(5)(B) and therefore wouldn't qualify for an approved ATF Form 6NIA (5330.3D) temporary import permit. (For additional information, they suggest calling 304-616-4550.)

Does anyone have experience with this process? Any recommendations for competitions or events I could register for?

Thanks in advance!

Leupold MK IV LRT 8.5-25 x 50 turret issue.

Hey fellas and gals, this is my first real post although I did the new member intro thread. I've run into an issue with the scope in my thread title. It is a mid 90's abomination of mil reticle and MOA adjustments. What can I say, I didn't know much about LR shooting and was in the process of learning it from TFTT/DAG, as well as, nothing otherwise that myself or my "armorer" knew of, was really available back then.

It's a good scope and has gotten me to 900-1000 but after coming back from the range where I was shooting in and zeroing my AI chassis, I went to slip the elevation turret to the zero mark but it won't slip. It won't turn without clicking, whereas the windage turret slips smooth as silk like it is supposed to. The rifle did take a short slow, sliding drop onto the tile, maybe a foot or so. It landed on the side focus knob but could have hit the elevation turret as well. This occurred since the last time I shot the rifle. It seemed fine with no apparent issues, not even a mark on the scope. I know these things are known to be pretty tough but maybe it knocked the turret housing out of whack so that it is binding, I don't know. I was thinking about giving a couple taps with a dead blow hammer and try to get it slipping freely. Anyone had this issue or got any smithing scoop? Send it back to Leupy for repair? Not that it probably matters but the rifle is a early 90's Remington 700 PSS .308. Thanks for any input.

PRS Talk Ideal PRS Scope

1. Magnification Range 13-26 or 12-24.
2. 16 inches long so you never have to touch paralax.
3. 10 mil turrets.
4. Says Nightforce on the side so you can actually trust it.

I never dial below 13x or above 24x in a PRS match and I shoot a lot of them. Drives me nuts that so many scopes that are obviously targeted at long distance shooting go down to 4-7x on the low end. Not to mention they are all FFP and that makes it impossible to pick reticle thickness that is usable over the whole range.

Stupid 15 mil turrets on high end scopes with tiny little lines that make it hard to tell which click you are on. Tangent Theta has a gigantic turret and most of the space on the dial is just empty space because they use tiny numbers.

Nightforce hasn't released any new top end optic in awhile. I'm sure they won't release this, but it'd be sweet if they did.

SOLD Looking for Remington 700 SA stock, BDL Varmint Barrel

Looking for a stock for a Remington 700 short action. Varmint profile barrel channel, BDL bottom Metal (or M5 if it comes with the BM). Think HS precision takeoff from a 700P/5R or McMillan HTG, etc. Not looking for anything fancy, painted is fine (though an AICS 1.5 fixed would be sweet). If you’ve got something lying around not being used let me know. FOUND!

SOLD Tikka 22 Creedmoor barrel

Selling a Tikka T3/T3x 22 Creedmoor barrel

Shilen 9 twist, it's their #7 profile but I turned the shank down to match the Tikka action. Muzzle diameter is .875. 22 inches long. 5/8x24 muzzle threads.

Barrel work and chambering done by me.

Cerakoted black by my awesome wife.

Round count is exactly 39. It shot very well with 53gr Vmaxes. I was getting about 1/2 MOA 5 shot groups. Shot one 10 shot group with it that was just over 1/2 MOA.

The only reason I'm selling is to go to a lighter profile since this is for a hunting rifle.

500 shipped, now only 350!

Venmo gift or zelle. No PayPal. Mine is frozen.

No trades.

338 Lapua mag build

Hello I had a couple questions I could not quite find online or this forum. I am going to build a 338 Lapua mag.

I am planning on using a defiance deviant tactical action ordered from defiance a mpa matrix pro 2 and a brux 9 twist barrel.

Does anyone have any experience with this action and set up in 338lm and will it feed from a cip 3.850 magazine if I load 300gr Berger elite hunter's or otm ?

Any thoughts on a 9 twist barrel ?

Looking at data it looks like oal of these cartridges will be 3.650 so I think all cip mags will take a 3.750 cartridge?

Thanks
