Doing some serious reduction before a move next year so some items have to go. Prices are shipped and insured FFL to FFL within CONUS, if you’re in or near SE Michigan area and want to meet in person you’re free to meet for local purchase, all local and federal laws apply.

1. APC308 DMR 18.9in barrel - $3050
150 rounds fired. Includes 4 magazines, two magpul 20rd, one 25rd and a Lancer transparent smoke 20rd plus all original materials (serialized box, backup sights, sling, manual, cleaning kit)

4. B&T ACR stock adapter and ACR stock - $550
Includes upgraded B&T anti-rotation stock pin and the original ACR end-cap.

A well faked K98 Sniper rifle?

So I spotted this for sale and it caught my eye but some things are really confusing. It's a Yugo K98 but someone seemed to went to some trouble to try and pass it off as a real sniper rifle.

So the first thing that caught my eye was the split ring side mount. That just isn't correct in my opinion. Now that normally doesn't matter since I'm more interested in a shooter anyways.

1000012094.jpg

1000012093.jpg

The side mount had markings that appear to be peened for some reason? Not sure why if it's a reproduction mount?
1000012097.jpg

Scope is period correct at least with the serial number putting it in the proper era

1000012102.jpg

Yugo markings

1000012098.jpg

Serial number of rifle is U6911, now U Block serial numbers are generally a good sign for a real sniper rifle

1000012095.jpg

Bolt serial number matches

1000012099.jpg

Bottom metal serial number does not. Not a big deal.

1000012100.jpg

I know nothing about the extended safeties on K98 rifles. This has the serial number for the rifle but I don't know if it was stamped to give more authenticity?

1000012096.jpg

The seller is asking $3500 Canadian for the rifle, about $2600 USD for it. He has never shot it so can't confirm how it shoots. I just can't tell if it was a real K98 sniper rifle at one point with a reproduction mount or if it's just a fake.

5.56 AR reloading: Can Anyone ID what would cause these weird triangle shaped scrape marks/dents just below the shoulder?

It doesn’t look like the same type of mark from too much lube during FL sizing. This actually has brass scraped off leaving an inverted triangle shape (most clearly seen in bottom row of bottom image).

Im going to toss this brass but was curious about root cause. My guess on the root cause is some debris in the chamber bc this mark was only on 10 out of my 50 pieces of brass

KGM R6... False advertising?

I got my KGM R6 paperwork back today and was able to bring it home. I weigh all of my suppressors new so I can track carbon build up. The R6 is advertised at 7.9oz with the direct thread mount. Mine weighed over 10oz.

Anyone else seen this? I called KGM and spoke to Beau and he literally said he doesn't know, doesn't have an answer as to why it would be over 2oz heavier, and offered no solutions. A few tenths of an ounce or even .5 oz might seem reasonable but if this is common over 2 oz seems like blatant false advertising for a suppressor that's titanium.

Hi everyone, i hope i can get some opinions from all the great minds that frequent this forum. I want to build a short do it all AR, by that I mean target shoot out to 800 maybe 1000yd longest local range is 700, hunt in oregon so maybe 300-400 yd max for white tail maybe elk @ 200-300 yd max, shtf self defense and mildly cqb capable.

I've always wanted a 6.5 Grendel and lately I've just been really infatuated with the ballistics out of 12.5 Grendel. Of course then comes the 6mm ARC and throws a wrench in the works.
My setup would be

Radian 10" ar15 builders Set
Triggertech diamond adjustable 2 stage
Sig tango 1-10 / nightforce nx8 1-8 / primary arms 1-10
Barrel
12.5" rainier ultramatch 6.5 Grendel
Or
14.5" proof carbon 6mm ARC
Sentry 7 gas block
Maxim pdw / HBPDW
I have multiple suppressors i can use

So here is where I want to ask for everyone's opinion, please let me know which one you would choose and why. I have read everything I could find and just want to try and get any input I can before taking this on. Thank you everyone !

Gunsmithing 25 creed reamer and smith

I picked up a 25 creed prefit for my origin. I started with 135 Bergers h4350 and alpha brass. This was my nrl setup for the season, got a couple matches left. It’s been ok. I don’t know if I have a finicky barrel or a barrel that’s on its way out. It never really did much better than .75 Moa groups some half inch and some really nice groups at distance but also some 1 1/2 groups. This has also been the most filthy barrel to keep clean. I had a serviceable load of 40.8 at 2920. That load shit the bed after my last match dropping to 2875 groups are ugly. 600 rounds down the tube. I shelved h4350 and have moved on to RL 16 which has shown tighter groups and better chrono number's all around consistently. I’m gonna role with this. I have a bartlien 7.5 blank to give the 25 another shot, looking for recommendations on a reamer and smith to cut a prefit for a tl3. Any help from my guys having luck with the 25 creed with the 135’s or even the 133’s would be greatly appreciated.

Need Help with Dope

Hey everyone I'm new to the site and looking for some help to zero my rifle.

I have a Q Fix .308 with a 16" 1/10 twist barrel. I'm shooting Hornady ELD-X 178gr that chronos at 2408. Using a Leupold Mk-5HD 3.6-18x44 mounted on a 1.54" Reptilia AUS mount which puts me at right around 2.5" inches over bore.

I zeroed in at 100 yards and am stacking rounds at that distance but when I move out to 200, 300, 400 and so on my BC Calculator is putting me high at all distances until like 600 yards. Coincidentally if I set my zero to 200 yards in the app all of my come ups match what I was writing down on the range for my 100 yard zero.

Any ideas?
