Night Vision TigIR 6z+ 6500

Selling my TigIR, I’ve never used it as I’ve been busy with other stuff.

In like-new condition with all the different night adaptors, charger, manual, etc.

I have 6 batteries which are free with local pickup but aren’t included because I’m shipping only air shipping.

$6500 , buyer splits shipping cost with me, $50 discount for local pickup. I’ll accept pretty much any payment type.

I’d also take a B&T mkii plus cash difference just in the unlikely chance someone wants to trade.

SOLD Nightforce ATACR 5-25x56 MOAR-T F2

I bought this scope new and it has been on a hunting rifle that I rarely used. Only reason I am selling is I am swapping to all mil since I shoot so much PRS. Scope will come with everything it came with new. It’s in NF ultralight 1” rings, I can separate or sell together. Scope is in excellent condition and shows little wear as it wore a scope chap. Asking $1600 shipped for scope and $1700 with rings

Accessories New Viper Barrel Vise - The Python!

The great folks at Viper have given me the opportunity to release their new barrel vise! This vise is an improvement on the older model featuring the following -

- Half the thickness for use on carbon fiber barrels.

- Multi-faceted contact area to provide more surface contact on your barrel.

- Counterbored bolt holes to allow tilting for tapered barrels.

- REMOVABLE Grade 8 bolts, so should they strip or round off, you can knock them out and replace them.

- Same footprint as the old vise, so no need to drill more mounting holes if you’re changing vises.

These are certainly a step up from the previous generation. Viper has been gracious enough to give us the first batch, and I’d love to get this in your hands!!

$95 + $5 shipping. Send me a message to order or order from our website -

Ballistic AE

I was not sure whether to post this in the calculator section or here...

I use Ballistic AE (primarily) with satisfactory results for DOPE when developing actual. Theoretical vs actual.

I could have sworn that this app had CCI load info but it is not there now. Am I not remembering that correctly?

Where can I find accurate load data for CCI Standard Velocity?

Alternatives to Criterion?

Looking into building a RECCE AR15 using a 13.9" Criterion. Have been recommended Roscoe, BA, and Proof Research on the high end. Would like to keep the rifle barrel between 13.7 - 14.5" and looking to get under MOA at 100y with 77gr factory ammo it likes. Plan on taking it out to 600 yards max. I understand CL barrels aren't as accurate as nitride or SS, but looking to run this hard suppressed 50% of the time and live in humid Texas so corrosion resistance is a concern. That and I'll be using this in classes, and some light competition.

Big question here is, what am I gaining by going with Proof Research at 3x the cost for a CF 14.5" besides saving sub 4oz and what am I losing by going with BA, Roscoe, {insert other barrel brand} by saving 1/3 the cost? Criterion's CORE model jumped out to me for the gas port size, weight and people here have been getting good results.

anyone out there doing tenkara style fly fishing?

More and more I have been fishing smaller western streams( the kind you can almost step over) and ran into a guy doing tenkara fly fishing. Light rod, no reel, small selection of flies. He seemed to really like but I was trying to get back to the truck before I lost all light so we did not talk long.

Anyone experienced with it?

Thanks in advance.....

Rifle Scopes Internal Scope Operation

Short history on the scope in question. Purchased a 5-25x56 FFP ATACR in May. Zeroed at 100 yards and quick box test, everything seemed to line up. Shortly after I started seeing groups open up and not be consistent from one day to the next and a 1/2 or 3/4 five shot group would be 2" the next time out. We are talking about an M1A, however a very good one with the previous scope but I wanted more magnification, so on went the 5-25. At this point I thought maybe it was the powder because I changed lots but really had a hard time dialing in a good load the rest of the summer.

To cut to the chase I thought I was on to something recently and was getting pretty consistent 1/2-3/4 three shot groups at 200 yards so I decided to bring the load out to 600 yards to see what it would do. So let it be known that I have not touched the windage dial on this scope since the first time it was zeroed. I shot some sighters and they were off to the right about 5" in a no wind environment so I dialed .2 mils to the left and thought the clicks felt a little mushy even going beyond what I was intending for so I had to bring it back .1

So ten shots later I had 6 that were fairly center of POA and then 2 off to the left of center about 12" and 2 off to the right of center about 12", so just over 4 MOA and vertical was acceptable. Some may joke and say well it's an M1A so that's about right but this same rifle would hold 1 MOA or slightly over for 10 shots at that distance previously.

One other note, I noticed on several occasions over the summer that my sight picture would get blurry after several shots and then it would clear up. Tried readjusting the diopter but to no avail, it didn't change.

So I contacted NF and they gave me an RMA number to send the scope in to have it checked and I pulled it last night. I guess before I ship it, does it make sense that just the windage would have an issue and not the elevation if something was amiss internally? Are they not both affected by a single retention spring inside the erector tube? I probably should have tried the box test again but I pulled the scope in frustration and boxed it up.

Not an internal scope expert so I figured I would just ask for some advice before I send it away for 6 weeks.

Need a backpack for air travel. Maxpedition, or??

I need a small pack to suppliment my carry on luggage. Something I can store under the seat in front of me, so size is somewhat of an issue. Big enough to hold a change of clothes, toiletries, and a few other odds and ends.

I have abt 4 other packs, 2 are old Maxpeditions, which are fantastic. One is nearly 20yrs old, and I use it daily. (Pigmy Falcon II) I've noticed Maxpedition has nearly doubled in price since I last bought one. I also don't want something that screams "TACTICOOL! SEARCH ME!" so, something toned down. It won't be a full time air flight bag, so something useful outside that role.

Thoughts?
