Tangent 5-25 or new Schmidt 6-36

Which would you choose to shoot matches with? I know their 6-36 hasn't been released yet, so this is assuming the new 6-26 will have glass as good as their old 5-25.

I haven't attended a match in a couple years. Are no dial stages still a thing? The Schmidt 6-36 only comes with the GR2ID AND P5FL. For Tangent, I'm mostly interested in the G3XR Fine.

I'm leaning towards the Schmidt with P5FL. What do you think?

Well...damn it!!! 😩

So many memories at this place.. so many lessons taught to me by my pap and his friends here..
So many fun times for generations of my family going back to 1929 when my great grandpap built the house and the pine & tobacco plantation that it sits on and the 14 acre lake out in the back yard ...☹️
And now damn near the whole top floor is wrecked.

That's my uncle, not my dad, in this goofy hat my brother gave him.. and yours truly with the freshly harvested timber rattler(youngins had already cut the tail off soon as I shot it lol...to make a necklace out of), decked out in my tacticool Carhartt with custom mag pouch😉

ETA: accidentally added a old wrestling match picture where I won county champ..but whatever

Starline 308 SRP question

I had a question regarding the small primer 308 brass from starline or I guess any brand using that configuration, it says to use a cooler temperature primer/powder to prevent hang fires but I’m not sure what that are looking for.

I’ve got a pretty good recipe for LRP but not sure if the same recipe with SRP will work, and before getting more of the same powder I figured I’d ask for advice.

This is from their site
“As with all types of cases this large with small primer pockets, it will require care in powder and primer selection in cooler temperatures to prevent hang fires. Single-based propellants are generally easier to ignite and a quality primer such as the Remington 7 1/2 BR are recommended.”

Firearms Heckler & Koch HK91/ PSG1 - FS or Trade

I got this in a trade I didn't have a chance to shoot it but it functions and looks complete seller I got it from said it shoots sub moa. Its an HK91 modded to be a PSG1 Clone. It includes the original parts to return it to stock which are also in fantastic shape considering the age of this rifle. Its highly collectible and in very nice shape just not really an HK guy myself. Comes with loads of mags the HK cleaning kit and a very nice fully functioning Zeiss optic. I'm open to offers and partial trades. Trades I'm interested in are clone rifles of all kinds, AI stuff ideally an AWM or a .300 and up AI. .338+ caliber rifles such as Barrett. Sale price $7,500 $7,000 shipped from me to your FFL located in MT. Thanks

Loctite 620 and my silencerco muzzle brake

I feel like a fool it was recommended from LaRue Tactical use 620 on the LaRue Tactical stealth Barrel threads for my suppressor muzzle brake from silencerco.
I got it shimmed up to where I thought it should be and allowed a little bit of room for torque so I applied the 620 compound threaded the brake on about halfway turned around to get my foot pound foot pound ratchet which took less than 20 seconds and whenever I tried to turn the muzzle device it was very hard to turn and before I can make it to where the muzzle device was perfectly flush and even it was Rock Solid.
Loctite claimed they had a 60 minute set time but in my experience just now it was a 40-second set time.
With the shims I am just a smidge off from being level on the muzzle brake if you weren't paying attention you probably wouldn't even notice that it was a little crooked.
My concern is whether or not when I put my can on if it's going to cause a baffle strike in the end from being slightly off the center axis if the shoulder doesn't meet up with the muzzle brake well enough.
Not sure if I can just wait until I get my can out of jail and put it on and run a clean Rod up through the door and Center it the best I can in the back of my action and see if there's any run out or not.

I feel like im fine like there's enough contact between the 90° on the barrel the shims and the 90° on the muzzle brake but I'm anal about this kind of thing and I feel like I might be overthinking it LOL.

As a little side note I know it's making contact with the shims because I can't even budge them which is what leads me to believe they are probably making full contact with both 90° surfaces therefore leveling the muzzle brake to the bore.

I'm really thinking I should have just used the rock set that came with it now LOL.

It's been many many years since I posted here so hopefully you all are just as nice as you used to be and don't eat my ass up for this question thanks in advance and hope you all are having a great day

Rifle Scopes March 1-10 Shorty Dual Focal - Reviews?

I was today years old when I heard about the new offering from March. Anyone gotten some hands-on time yet?

Their 1-10 Shorty appears to have all the ingredients of a winning LPVO to sit on top of an all purpose battle rifle (SR-25 ACC). Intended usage is Heavy Metal division in various carbine competitions including Run N Gun matches. Typical targets range from 5-750 yards, typically at least 3 MOA or bigger out at the longer ranges.

Personally, I'm most curious about the daylight brightness and performance on 1x. I currently have a Vortex 1-10 but the March is nearly 5 oz lighter and that is a sizable difference when you are running with it on your back for up to 8 miles.
