sub 300$ non muff ear pro? is it all trash?

I've used macks foam earplugs doubled with walkers razor slim muff but the walkers get in the way shooting sometimes with my facial structure. I dont rly care about electronic and hearing voices, just want protection/no sound. is there any earbud type non muff protection worth anything in that 2-300 range or do you need to spend a lot more to actually improve over foam earplugs. seems what i see on amazon has a lot of mixed reviews.

TBAC Suppressor Cleaning

In episode 30 Frank touched on suppressor cleaning a little. If you have a TBAC can we suggest you do like Frank said and weigh the can when it's new and clean it once you reach 1 oz over the original weight. If you allow to much carbon to build up in the suppressor those first layers become harder over time as they see more heat and pressure cycles. Once you reach 1 oz over fill the internals with CLR from your favorite hardware store and let it soak for a few hours or overnight. I highly suggest having the CLR filled can in something. I use a Lays potato chip can; pvc also works well as the clr can bubble over. CLR can also discolor the Cerakote after a few cleanings so try not to get it on the exterior of the can if possible. CLR is only safe for our titanium suppressors, any 223P, 223P-1, 223P-2, 223A and 22 Take Down have stainless and/or inconel components and cannot be cleaned with CLR.

For reference it takes about 1000 rounds of factory Hornady 6.5 creedmoor ammo to reach 1 oz of carbon in an Ultra 7. How fast the carbon builds up will depend greatly on caliber and powder being used. If anyone has questions on how to clean their suppressor don't hesitate to give us a call.

PS. Loving the podcast Frank and Mike; it's become my go to on my drive to and from the shop.

Firearms Tikka RT Ember in .243 Win

Round count is right at 50, nicely broken in...

SHoots lights out with 90 ELD-X factory Hornady. Currently wears an SWFA SS 3-15x42, mil reticle, FFP, mounted in a Tikka low 30mm mount from DNZ...

This rifle is everything you'd expect from a tikka. Bolt runs like butter, trigger is VG and accuracy is excellent. I hate to part with this one, but I just picked up an Anti-X and am looking to free up some funds to build something really awesome. The radial brake on these takes a round that's already very mild in recoil and makes it nearly non-existant.

Rifle comes with a single factory mag.

Looking for options Long Range 22LR

Background: I use to do 1000 Meters with my old Tikka T3X Tac A1 6.5 creedmore with 30MOA rings and Vortex Viper HS-T 6-24x50, but unfortunately had to sell it during covid and I plan on doing a custom build with a T3X in the future, instead of buying the same gun again. but for now I want to scratch that accuracy itch and my love for bolt actions, while spending a lot less money on gun and ammo and still having fun.

I have a Ruger 10/22 carbine but I wanted to get more accuracy for doing 50-400 Meters shooting.

I don't plan on NRL22 or PRS right now so that's not an issue

This seems like the best choices given the suggestions and budget.

Build 1 allows me to use my future T3X CTR or Super Varmint stock off a custom build I'm planning, plus upgrade the barrel.

Build 2 would be better starting out since it doesn't require any changes out of the box.

Build 1 Total ($1914 Cad)
Tikka T1x MTR .22LR, 20" ($825 Cad)
Vortex Venom 5-25x56 FFP MRAD ($749 Cad)
AREA 419 30 Moa Rail ($139 Cad)
Scope Rings ($200 Cad)
Bipod already owned

Build 2 ($2238 Cad)

the end?

"the doomed,at the brink of civilizational destruction, have an attitude partly born of hubris and partly of naivete, perhaps best summed up as it can't happen here."
a quote from hanson's latest book about the destruction of thebes, carthage, constantinople, tenochtitlan and their associated civilizations. the last chapter has a list of things that destroyed civilizations have gotten wrong. alexander, scipio, mehmet and cortes had the power to destroy a civilization but not life on earth. different now,
he is really just laying out a not so subtle warning to america and the west about the path that we have been on for awhile.
truely,i have known how fragile our nation and culture have been for > 100 years. the deliberate destruction has been in action for awhile but has seen open progress for about 6 years & is well advanced. been going on longer and is farther along in europe. all of my family and friends are well on the "conservative" side but seem unaware or unwilling to see what is going on and what is coming. when they have a marginal awareness of some of these things, they usually chalk it up to incompetence. they just can't see that there is a deliberate plan, not accidents or mistakes. the obvious solution is unthinkable to them and can't be discussed.
the school and univ systems have corrupted any ability to think outside of the approved box.
when looking at all the destruction aimed at america in particular & western civilization in general, one can see how hitler was able to and allowed to come to power in germany in 1933. and the weimar republic pols were not trying to destroy germany but fix it. their population was in very dire straights. that is not unlike what we see here now. then the communists were trying to destroy it. they took the role of blm, antifa and our own deep state have now.
there are some swimming against the tide like trump and musk and a few others. we know that their lives are at risk.
a solution? i doubt any fix thru the electoral process will be allowed.
