Muzzle device recommendations?

Hey all,

I’m building an AR 10 chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. Looking for recommendations on muzzle devices. Unfortunately, I live in CA so won’t be using a suppressor any time soon. I was recommended the below.

Specs on my build:

Aero Precision Enhanced Upper
Aero Precision Lower
BSF 24 in barrel
PRS Gen 3 Stock

Any recommendations are appreciated.

The Carbon X is a carbon fiber stock 100% designed and made in South Africa. Like any of our projects, APW products and equipment are based on the needs of shooters like you.

Why the X you ask? The Carbon X was designed from the ground up to be a hybrid system that can flourish in multiple disciplines. Whether you are taking your 6.5PRC hunting or attending a competition, the Carbon X will exceed your expectations

First, we assess why something should be made, then we figure out how best to make it. Simple enough, right? In theory, yes, but in application, it takes a mastery in a host of critical disciplines: design & engineering, material selection, the fabrication process, and testing. We'd say that the results are worth it, and if you've ever used any of our products, you probably agree.

The Carbon X comes with an Arca/Picatinny rail included.

The Carbon X is now Available for

Model 700 Trigger Guard HS Precision

ADL Model. Struggling here but I’m sure I’m an idiot and missing something. The HS Precision stock has a void, open space where the front trigger guard screw would go. This void goes all the way up behind the mag box. So there is nothing to screw the screw to. Is this a stock that requires a single hole trigger guard? If so does the front slide in and overlap or something. Any links to help or buy whatever this stock takes would be great. Thanks.

Vatican desecrated by Diversity/Strength individual

I don't have words to eloquently articulate my feelings, so I'll just say it like this - about 100 years ago some asshole with a funny mustache who enjoyed painting 🎨 100% called this.

Gunsmithing The No-Go Gauge Went

Today I changed out a barrel on a Impact Precision 737R with a new Proof Stainless 6 GT barrel. After torqueing the barrel to the action to 75 ft. lbs. I put a
Manson Go gauge in the chamber and closed the bolt. No problem. I then put the No-Go gauge in and the bolt closed easily. Problem! I put a .0015" piece of Scotch tape on the back of the No-Go gauge and the bolt would not close. I didn't force it, but there was resistance on the bolt handle. I then took the Go gauge and put 2 layers of Scotch tape (.003") on it. The bolt closed easily. When I added a third layer of Scotch tape (.0045") the bolt again would not close. I'm taking this to mean that I have approximately .004" of excess headspace.
I'm new to swapping prefit shouldered barrels. My question is, is this a problem?
I have not fired the barrel yet, but am thinking about it. I can call the gunshop where I purchased the barrel, but since it's Saturday, I guessing I won't be able to call Proof until Monday. What should I do, shoot it or return it?
TIA

First precision 22 - go big or go home?

Just found out there are some local 22 matches near me. I’ve always wanted to get in on them, but nothing was close. So until now I have held off purchasing a precision style 22. For those that recently have started, I’m curious if you regret the investment of going straight to a vudoo/rimx or if something like a b14r BA or a CZ457 would serve me well to get off the ground and see if I like it? Just interested in picking brains.

Those silly frat boyz again

So the head of DHS head of ICE and Attorney General all think the assholes at the FBI are leaking information to violent transnational criminal organizations in CO and CA so they can avoid arrest. It might finally be the straw that broke the peons back- Would love to finally see them ot for their many and heinous crimes. Like 25- life in gen pop.

Are threaded 457 barrels less accurate ?

I’m laid back here thinking…..yes, I do have a “ brain “. I am wondering if barrels for .22 have less potential for accuracy than non threaded…. I remember some super accurate .22 Anschutz barrels that were left bigger in diameter at the muzzle. With shorter bbls supposedly getting the full velocity from rimfire ammo, is there a chance that longer barrels can slow down the bullet and achieve better accuracy from some ammo ? How much velocity is lost per inch of barrel ?
