Target sports USA

I’ve been a member for a few years and I found it to be very well worth it.

Regarding the current ammo debacle - They still have the best pricing I’ve found on ammo. They still do get stuff in stock as well, and you can set alerts. I still think it’s the best price / deal available for ammo, I just don’t buy anywhere near as much as I once did

I recently joined and so far I think it is worth it. You get free shipping and discounted ammo. You also get price certainty since you don't need to worry that shipping fees are being inflated to increase profit.

You are still getting discounted ammo? Is the discount worth it or is it a discount on already massively inflated ammo costs?

A discount is a discount I guess. I haven't been able to compare apples to apples between TS and others but anecdotally it appears that, for me at least, TS is competitive when you factor in the "free" (really more like pre-paid) shipping.

You still get a discount. Prices have obviously gone up, but you still pay the “member” price. TS is affected by this ammo craze just as everyone else so the prices reflect it, but you still get to purchase for member price if you have a membership. And like I said, it’s still the cheapest I have found anywhere

I agree, it was stellar before the latest ammo shortage. And was nice when you didn't want to commit to a large quantity of ammo to get free shipping. I ordered less quantities, but more often.

They do send you a "gift" every year as well. I got decent 50 cal ammo can, new, with some cheap schwag inside. Can't recall what exactly. So... But it was better than nothing.

So basically it seems like it would be worth it assuming I order enough ammo often enough to where I break even or better without paying shipping. Basically it’s “prepaid” shipping with a slight discount on ammo. And it wouldn’t take many orders to recoup the cost of membership by not paying shipping.

I would say no, but with a asterisk.

When I signed up it they promised a free box of ammo on your anniversary of being a member. Then covid hit and they decided they would send a empty ammo can as a "gift" instead. Not a huge deal and I can understand their stance, but I signed a contract "X for Y". Then they said they would substitute "Z" instead and fuck off.

I emailed and got told "covid". As I understand that they got greedy and chose profits over integrity. So they lost me as a customer for life.

So while I've been happy with 99% that 1% will cause me to never buy from them again.

Duly noted. A pact is a pact! I’m assuming they haven’t gone back to giving a free box? I can understand making adjustments under tight circumstances… but when it’s not longer an issue, a deal should be honored.

Most of the time TS has free shipping on bulk ammo so the real savings comes in on te price discount for beig a prime member. I live in CT so I get hit with sales tax and even with that they were the lowest price most of the time. Now the anual gift. First year I got nothing. Second year was a plastic ammo can with a few rounds of steel wolf ammo. When I was buying in larger quantities it was well worth the membership. Not so much now and this thread reminded me to turn off the auto renew on my prime membership which I meant to do back in November.

Was a member for several years and was a member when Covid hit, after which it was nearly worthless. Free shipping and a slight discount on prices not worth much when they had none of the ammo I was interested in in stock. Been on their website recently, and they are starting to show more stuff in stock, but I can usually find similar ammo elsewhere for less.

Even so, still hard to let my membership lapse. Back when I lived in an unnamed socialist state, they were one of the few companies that would ship ammo to me, and compared to what was available to me in-state they were a bargain. Also appreciated their willingness to take on the anti 2nd Amendment crowd that ran the state.

I was a member for years prior to covid. Free shipping, discounted ammo and an annual gift. The gift was usually some ammo, stickers, and a 30 cal can.

Their prices were the best around... when you added in the member discount and the free shipping it was a no brainer.

When they couldn't get any ammo during the shortage, it was just losing money. I let it go the first year, but decided to not renew this time. I'll probably re-join when the supply chain evens back out.

Hi,
While I don't have real-time information on specific websites, the value of a site depends on individual needs. Check user reviews for insights on stock/pricing reliability. Evaluate if the site aligns with your requirements before investing $95. Research ensures you make an informed decision.

Why thank you well informed gun enthusiast.

target sports used to have some of the best prices, taking into account free shipping on case quantities. last couple of years, that doesn't seem to be the case. look at ammoseek and check out the freight rates of those that don't have free shipping and make an informed decision.

looking at ammoseek now for .223, target sports isn't even on the first page. of course you have gman and southern who show some of the "best" rates but then want $80-90 to ship a single case...

I always filter to a "7" or higher shipping rate.
Usually "Conditional Free/Free".
Its at the bottom of the filter page incase anyone wasnt aware.
