Brownells payment system down

I placed an order on May 13th, and it took them two weeks to reach out to me for 'detail verification', they definitely seem overwhelmed. Should finally get the parts I ordered today.
 
3 weeks? I've been waiting almost a year for my HD Fury 5000 A/B from OpticsPlanet. I even called Vortex to make sure they are still making them... they said yes and shipping out. I think the price was so good, OpticsPlanet is hoping I cancel the order.

yep card processing at brownells was down last nite (and the site was super slow). it was working this morning but the 2k of primers i had in my cart were OOS.
 
Coming up on a week for another order that was in stock and still hasn’t shipped. I won’t be doing business with brownells any longer, until this is all sorted out.

I called today to check on a order. I was # 197 wih over a 3 hour wait..

I agree with above they are way busy…. My optic is still processing after 2 weeks.
Same. Called first thing this morning. Opted for the call back option, which never came to fruition.

The last order I had from 3 weeks ago still hasn’t shown up. I think FedEx lost it.
 
Its strange. I ordered a mount (2) days after the optic i ordered. The mount showed today. The whole time i was thinking it was my optic and mount together… man was I pissed. The day the mount shipped I got a notification by email from Brownells with the tracking info.

Well, that's business as usual for Optics Planet, but not Brownell's. You can at least usually trust Brownell's to alert you if an item is back-ordered, but recent events may have overwhelmed their ability to keep up right now. Optics Planet, on the other hand, is FAMOUS for doing what they are doing to you.
 
Yeah…. Thats the one of things i like ablut Brownells. If younset an account up with them you can see the inventory as to if its in stock or back ordered. Now…it could be off but i have found it to be very accurate.

I am betting they are like many business… working with a skeleton crew and the volume of orders are dragging them further behind.

The answer to all of the above problems with Brownells is to STOP buying from them!
There are many smaller online companies that offer great customer service and often for less $$$.

I was able to get through to a CS rep via live chat, after 45 minutes in queue. Their answer to when my latest order that was placed 7 days ago will ship was “soon.”

As I was typing a response, the CS rep closed out the chat on me.

Brownell’s has always been great to me, but this is Optics Planet level service now. I will no longer be giving them any of my money after this order is complete.

^ This will be my last as well. It was just one of those deals i could not pass up but now would have paid the extra $ to have it shipped in a normal time frame..

Just called and was number 201 with a wait time of 192 minutes. I dod the call me back option…we will see if that comes through.
 
My order from last week finally shows shipped, but the payment system was messed up when I ordered and I have 2 pending charges on my CC. I might just sick my CC customer service on it so I don't have to wait to deal with Brownells CS.
