Rich/ well off people are mosty frugal / looking for deals if they made their own money

Meanwhile poors do stuff like this.

Dumb poor people do that as well as rich people who don’t give a crap (because they don’t have to care/$$$ to 🔥).

There is a saying that states the only people who can afford to buy cheap stuff are rich people.

Because when the cheap item inevitably soon breaks, it’s no big deal to rich folks. Toss it and buy another.

A few caveats:
  1. the truth of this saying hinges upon the meaning of the word “afford”
  2. as mentioned, poor dumb people exist
  3. this saying has little to do with tightwads who look for deals on authentic AI mags

AO Vision? Where’s the love for keeping shit stock.

Whaaat? You abandoned it or just swap barrels?? You got yours around the same time I got mine

Yea I sold it, it went to another member here on the forum. I had plans for an AT-X, I passed my spot on to another with the initial release of those and now I am waiting for the third gen variant before pulling the trigger. While the AT-X has all of the right improvements, it'll never be the looker that is the AT-LE.

Yeah. The 16.5” .308 LW. I’m getting around 2550 in the cold temps and close to 2600 in warmer temps (90degs +) with 168SMK.
16.25" 6.5poopmoor on an AT. Very handy but I've shot a whopping 5 rounds so I can't tell you much.

Edit: 20" for comparison. This is 308 and I get 2558 with 175smk m118lr clone and 2600fps with a 175rdf match load.

What 308 load is going that speed from a 16.5?
Our elevation helps. Shooting around 5000+ elevation. Lapua Palma (srp). I was getting 2650 with 45.6 Varget no pressure signs homie. Backed it down to a more accurate node. 2600 is average now. Done over labradar. So it’s probably off by 300 fps lol

I am at sea level and usually shooting in winds 10-20mph. My software tells me to expect around 1000fps at 1000yds. With 168FGMM I chrono'd 2442fps at the muzzle with the 16.5" barrel. I made repeated hits (50-60%) at 1000yds with this setup with 15-18mph winds but they were almost head on and pretty steady/clean. 700-800yds plus with any .308 starts to become more of a crap shoot. I shot a three day class with a 20" barrel and 175FGMM and as expected the numbers were better.

For myself, the short barrel was simply to have a more compact setup (and it looks cool), I rarely shoot .308 beyond 500yds as it is. 6CM takes over for 500-1000yds and then I go up from there if shooting beyond 1000yds.

Had some time to finalize my reload. I’m pretty much done and just stick to this recipe.Don’t wanna waste anymore powders. Seems like no matter what reloads I throw at this ax, it just shoots dead nuts anyways.Time to stretch it.

Nice shootin'

Any pressure signs with that load?

Yup, all the answers are right. Illumination knob forces the rear ring forward. Normally I'd have the ring centered if not slightly more rear of center on normal scopes. No issues with brass at all.

The atlas is just the 2 screw version. Sounds stupid but it keeps the bipod up the highest and I don't have a need for a QD.

3-20 is a fantastic scope... but the 3-12x50 is still my standard everything else is measured to.
