The reason this stop went well is also due to the suspect keeping his cool. For him, it is just business as usual. In fact, MS-13 started out as a prison gang in El Salvador. This could have been a lot worse and then it would be stated that the cops over-reacted.

As for the reason for the stop, it was for a traffic violation. If we drive on the roads, we have to obey the rules.
