That look like a German 77mm Field Gun, M1896. There's one a the Fort Sill Artillery Museum.

I think that one is still around. Was in the Same area 3-4 years ago. But it had been molested after I sold it… AMF’s are out there!
That is cool, I would have thought there would be a difference between the NA engine and the blown engine, like a lower compression on the blown engine from the factory.

Guy was talking about going to the shelter to get another barn cat, his young daughter is standing there. Guy is saying, yea I lost another barn cat, but the shelter will give you a feral cat for free to control the mice in your barn, I have had to get six of them the coyote keep killing them.
To this the other guy said it does not sound to me like you are getting cats to kill the mice, but cats to feed to the coyote.
The daughter started crying.
I had the same issue, but never went to the shelter to get them, they just setup shop in the barn when I had animals. I found body parts here and there.
Electric fencing, concrete blocks and netting over my chicken enclosure would not keep all matter of critter away from the all you can eat chicken buffet.
I had on video a raccoon, (I have told this story before on other sites and they *** out the word coon....what a world) and the video showed him hop over three rows of electric fencing around the enclosure, then commando up eat a hole in the net over the enclosure then commando down, head first and he was in. Little bastards. I finally got him, but I would not kill him, re homed him to federal lands up the road (yes I know and I don't care)....and no he did not come back, how do I know, he had a screwed up tail.
I don't ever remember hearing of anyone wanting an AMF scooter. What's the draw?

Back then it was “old” and quirky. I was going to buy an XLX. But they were common and kind of boring. This bike was sitting alone in the corner at Ray Price and was $1000 less than a new XLX. Only had kick start. And was the “Competition Hot”’ model.
Lots of iconic bikes done by AMF. And as much as everyone hated them, they saved the company. AMF funded the Evo.
I still have a VERY unmolested FXWG flame glide. That was one of William G’s designs and really put HD back on the map. I saw one in 1980 when they came out… I was riding a Honda CL175 at the time and vowed I would have one someday.
So, yeah, AMF has their followers… and the bikes that are still around are even antique survivors! Think about it… most AMF’s are older now than most Knuckleheads were in 1989.

My journey began with a used '81 Sporty in '86, currently have an '09 FLHTCU in the shop, unridden since mid '15. I put 20k miles on it the first year. It currently sits with 22k miles on it. Body wear, tear and deterioration is a wonderful thing.
Went through some FXs & another Ultra in between.

He hit it going approximately 80 mph. He had so much brain damage , he only lived a month or so.
I see them as a time in history when a great many changes are going on. This is why I would only be happy with a time capsule. Yes they are seen as "the worst", and I don't think that one bit, they are a product of their time. It was what they could make then. AMF is really not the "bowling ball" company, it really is American Machine and Foundry, and really it sounds like a good fit for a company to buy a motorcycle company. I don't think it was AMF that ran HD into the ground, but they started digging them out of the hole they put themselves into. AMF was the start of the road back. And I think a great deal of the typical HD half measures that could have been done all those years ago in the 1970's and if AMF had stood by their guns and said, we are going to have little "enduro" bikes branded as HD, we don't care, by now HD would be a very different company, and a popular company. Things like the electric motorcycle to the Pan Am would have gone over much better then they are. Today it is far too late and I think that company is going to shrink to a shadow of its former self, by its own doing. Moving plants over seas did not make them many friends in Kansas City after they bent over backwards and handed HD the gold keys to the crapper.
I drifted again as usual, I want an AMF era bike in show room shape as an example of when HD had the chance to become an american powerhouse. I refuse to own one from the current generation, running crying to .gov for protection in the 80's is pure bullshit, build a better bike and people will buy it.
For my Cliff moment, they wanted him to do Magnum P.I. but he said he was too old.
I don't know - looks reasonable to me.
I did notice that it was $19.99 last week. This week it is only $15.99. I think it is on scale.

Sometimes I'll set up the game camera in the back yard to see what comes through. One time it caught a red fox walking along, then all of a sudden he stops and his ears go up and he turns around and bolts. Here she comes, right on his ass chasing him out of "her" yard.
This is our yard cat, she adopted us about a year ago.

Yeah... it's a myth that foxes attack cats. They are neither big enough or tough enough. Coyotes... totally different story. They do bad things to cats and small dogs. But foxes and cats live together fine... if tenuously...
Things that attack cats: Coyotes, feral dogs, Fishers, raccoons, eagles... lots of things. But foxes, not so much. A healthy New England cat will stomp all over a fox!

Live on a farm and have outside cats and foxes show up on a fairly regular basis mostly to water. They each go there own way. One predator you should add to the list is owls. We have Great Horned Owls that roost in our trees and they are the apex predator in my AO
She's gotten in fights with raccoons more than once. I've thought about getting her a rabies shot but since she's an alley cat I don't know about trying to stuff her in box and going to the vet.
