I restored this one over the last couple years. I did a 6 inch lift and 315 tires.
It is hard to believe 1998 was 25 years ago.View attachment 8265908View attachment 8265909
I hit a deer a few days ago in my new to me 2001 F-350.

I was in the body shop this morning for an estimate to replace the front bumper and headlight and was told it was 'too old' to work on.

I got nasty and told them that was bullshit, it's not a '46 Studebaker, it's a PSD. The Estimater said anything over ten years old they can't get factory parts.

Yeah that is bull shit. Find a better shop. Insurance will pay what a shop willing to repair it quotes unless they total it.
I had zero problems buying oem parts for mine. Parts were affordable and abundant.

Sustainability.

This idea that durable good should be thrown away.

It’s just another one of those hypocritical things that lets you know global warming is BS.

Tough to say.

Looks pretty real from that little clip.

Have seen some nasty penetrating injury with solid objects like that.
Once it is into the chest/abdomen/pelvis like that, survival chances change a lot.
He could be just below the bifurcation of the aorta there, so mostly bowel, bladder, and bone issue. Looks a tad high for that in front to me.

IF thats a real case and he made it to a good trauma center, I would love to read his operative reports.
Has to be fascinating.

Looks pretty real.

Can't imagine how it happened, the impact of driving that size of blunt object through someone should have been fatal. Looks like something from a tornado.

Something tossed off a shyscraper?

Or a Halloween costume by chance?

Although that bar is pretty stiff and if it was fake, it would bend at the points of contact on the body. It would be difficult to keep it that straight unless it was incredibly light.

I wonder if the writer intentionally made a pun for the last line of the article.

Duck hunter goes missing. His boat is found but he's not. A few days later his body is found.
Here's the last sentence from the article
"No foul play is suspected."

"No fowl play is suspected..."

That would have been epic.
