At 69, will never have to buy another pair and sending two pairs back to have them resoled this week. Of the pairs I own my favorite are the Otto White Vintage Packers. Unfortunately I don't think they are available anymore.

Talk about boots getting destroyed. Wheelbarrows. Using a steel bed wheelbarrow to haul out wet stall bedding, has such a serious effect on the steel, you can literally watch it melt before your eyes.
Finally we purchased a highend, fiberglass wheelbarrow in 1989, been through several handles and tires, but the bed is still going strong to this day…(just put a new handle on it. A pair of handles today cost more than the entire wheelbarrow cost when new 35 years ago.)
Also 69. I would need a knee replacement to get use out of the resoles.
I loved my Danner TFX G3 Desert boots but the tread wears fast and they can't be resoled.
1" box square steel, adds weight, but you won't have to replace em.
It'll last longer than your back.

My Danner hikers will be 26 this year, on their third sole I believe. I also have a pair of their Fort Lewis that are somewhere around 12 years old now. Both American made, both holding up great.
