I know for the most part, the headspace is going to be within spec but has anyone measured their B14R headspace? If so, what was it and what have you heard of others being?
Also, has anyone shimmed and seen good results with the thinner rim thickness brand ammo? If so, what size shim worked best for you and your match ammo/steady diet ammo?

My B14R bolt would close on a Forster 046 no go gauge. I shimmed it with the Trigger Shims kit to close comfortably on the Forster 043 go gauge. I fitted a Crossroads Precision firing pin spring & bolt shroud at the same time. I use Lapua/SK exclusively. Never had a misfire - Accuracy very close to all three Vudoos I have. Works for me!

I had my LH for 3 years now and seen no reason to check head space yet as the accuracy is still on par. I have the Crossroad spring kit and bolt shroud along with the extended bolt handle with Area419handle. I use SK RM exclusively in it.

What are the advantages with the Crossroads kit?

Probably not many! When tuning rim fires, I like to have the firing pin strike as light as possible without causing misfires - Just me - Not saying it's of any benefit. I'm not a fan of the B14R shroud and the CPR is a nice up-grade IMO.
I definitely like it! From what little research I’ve done, it seems as if it’s more of a body mechanics aid (which is noticeably useful for an experienced shooter) rather than an accuracy upgrade across the board.

CPR bolt shroud cuts down on the sloppiness of the bolt movement in the closed position. Although it looks really good but not really needed unless you really pay attention. IMO well worth the money but really think Bergara should have done it from the factory since cost is negligible.
