6.5 Grendel factory ammo suggestion

I currently have a couple hundred rounds of Hornady Black and it shoots ok, looking for other options to try. just shooting at steel out to 800 yrds.

That’s one of the best ones for the money, though the BC isn’t the highest of all the 123gr class of bullets.

I’ve been enjoying the 100gr ELD-VT as it’s really flat-shooting.

123gr SMK factory load from Precision Firearms is great, 50rd boxes.

Same with 123gr Scenar or 120gr Scenar-L.

107gr SMK from Precision Firearms

123gr Fort Scott TUI (this is the highest BC of all 123gr)

AAC 123gr OTM

120gr PPU MPT

130gr Berger Hybrid from Copper Creek, Federal GMM

130gr Berger VLD from Precision Firearms

130gr Premier Match Remington

I use AmmoSeek and my club member points from 2 of the big box stores to basically get ammo for free. One sends me gift cards for every increment of a certain $ amount of purchases, the other gives me points that I can cash in.

From shooter’s perspective, you can see how flat 100gr ELD-VT and 107gr SMK are compared to the 123gr ELD-M.

There are threads on it if you search. People even broke down the load, saw that they are using Hornady bullets, showed charge weight, velocities, SDs, groups, etc.

AAC 123 OTM - 500 yards .not great not my best but with factory and the first run at longer range after working out some feeding / gas issues I was pleased

I apologize the above group on the steel at 500 was with my hand loads - this group was with the aac OTM. At 100 first 3 rounds out of the rifle !
