best friend just go took for $300 that’s how I know. He replied I’ll take it to an add and this guy replied with payment info immediately. Friend sent money right away and never even noticed it wasn’t the op. Op replied a few minutes later that the item was sold. Money gone.I’m not saying you’re wrong but just for educational purposes, how do you know he’s a scammer?
I’ve been beating on this drummer for a while. A simple chat/video will give you a much better sense if the guy is a crook or not."at your earliest convenience" = not a USA native speaker..
I assume you hit the report button and reported them.
Seriously, we need to have a big banner at the top of every forum page in the PX that say insist on a video chat or phone call before sending any money, no exceptions.
Something that irritates me to no end about the PX, is a paper with a hand written note in the SAME picture as the item for sale, is something that's not required. On it is the following. The forum it's being sold on, the date it's being posted and the persons user name. If multiple user names, it could be written next to the forum names.
This is proof they actually have the item. Not a picture ripped from this forum of a previous sale item, or another forum or random picture from the web. While still possible to get scammed this way, it is way way more unlikely.
Ouch.Because my

The other you often see is "I hope today finds you well". The BIG RED FLAG though is that the account doesn't have "SUPPORTER" status, so it can't be the one that posted the item for sale.I’m not saying it’s science, but “at your earliest convenience” is a giveaway for me as well.
It’s something you’d get out of google translate as a colloquialism that’s not actually used by ANYONE who speaks English as a first language.
Every scam thread you find online that’s a keyword in the conversation.
