Anywhere I can buy a Knights SR-25 Barrel?

Hey guys, i'm actually asking this on behalf of a close friend of mine. He picked up a Preban Knights Armament SR-25 and we're trying to work on a project for him. Basically he wants to make a shorter version of the SR-25 by having a gunsmith cut the barrel down, and adding a collapsing stock. We've contacted Kreiger, Bartlein, Hart, and Obermeyer (who knights actually told us to contact, they wouldn't sell him one).

Pac-nor is going to get back to us, it seemed promising. But anyway, does anyone know of a way we could get our hands on one??

Krieger has the M-110 Service Rifle barrel. They won't sell that to you?

Edit: That barrel only comes in 20"

Are you looking to do the work, or is the customer willing to send in the rifle to let KAC do it? Pretty sure they'll do a barrel swap, so long as they're the ones who do it. Cost will be up there, to the point it may be cheaper to sell the rifle and just buy an EC or EMC.

I'm not a gunsmith, but can't you just take the barrel extension off the old barrel and put it on a new barrel of your choosing? If so, any gunsmith should be able to do it if you have a .30 barrel.

Couple of years ago, I had a AW-Ban era SR-25 RAS Carbine, and I contacted KAC about having it rebarreled with the latest spec carbine barrel assembly. The rep told me it would probably be cheaper to sell the gun I had and use the proceeds to buy the newer model rifle. At the time, it was about a $2500 difference.

Steve Thompson at ADCO Firearms in Ohio shortened my AR-10T barrel and mounted a Badger FTE Brake. His shop is very fast and his prices are reasonable.

We can make contoured blanks but the main reasons we are not making AR barrels complete are: 1 everyone wants a contour that is a little different and 2.) in some cases trying to get parts.

KAC will not sell they're barrel extensions. You have to use the old one off of your existing barrel. Not all of the extensions from the different makers will readily interchange with one another.
