I'm without my good-old 5D MkII these days so I used my T2i body, but I'm curious if anyone can figure out the lens setup here in my really shitty cellphone picture - Camera & lens

If you're stumped, I'll tell you. Hint, it's not a Canon lens...

Ive been having fun with an old Nikkor 50mm F1.2 fully manual lens. Super sharp photos. </div></div>

Here is a better shot of the glass I used - Leitz 35mm & ELPRO macro VIb

The lens is an old Leitz f2.8 35mm for the Leica R bodies, with a Leitz ELPRO VIb thread on macro adapter. The adapter is designed for the 50mm lens, but works just fine on the 35mm. Because of the small chip on the T2i, I went with the 35mm instead of the 50mm to get a wide enough field of view. The Leitz glass gets attached to the Canon via a Novoflex adapter.

I'm thinking of picking up another Novoflex and some old Nikon glass for doing video work. I love the colors from Nikon (new and old) glass, and they do make a fair number of fast lenses. The old full manual lenses are a bit clumsy for field work on digital bodies for shooting stills if you need to move fast, but I love them for video work.

You're guess is pretty much correct. I'm in the process of building my next AR, and I haven't mounted the barrel to the upper yet, so I just stuck the lens in the front of the upper where the barrel extension normally sits.
