Yes, he plead guilty. It may be different in the US military, but in the British forces, normal procedure is for the serviceman to be asked whether he accepts the Commanding/Presiding officers 'award'. For the most part, the answer is usually yes, unless the soldier is either stupid, or completely certain that his conduct was 100% correct. Not sure if the American vote will help or not, but please sign the petition anyway.

boy..they really dodged the bullet there...such a long history of violence and illegality in his history. there was no way they could have treated this leniently.....

sarcasm off

i guess "extenuating circumstances" is a phrase that judge is not familiar with.

what they did to this guy is unforgivable.

Their chief export product is wholesale pussification. Treating the possession of a firearm, in the hands of an SAS operator no less, as though it were a nuclear weapon is just the fullest example of what happens when a nation glorifies faggotry.

If the judge had used what most here would conclude is common sense and PROPORTION, there might have been a dramatic decline in buggery, plummeting sales of the holiday collections of Simply Red, Boy George and Wham and the remote possibility that someone, somewhere in the UK, might not have simply accepted being assaulted and humiliated.

Wouldn't want that now old boy...
