Hunting & Fishing Called in a beautiful pair with my lil sister.

My little sister got a break from college volleyball this weekend... It must run in the bloodline, cause she wanted to go call a dog with me. Before we packed up, I gave her a quick, but thorough rundown on the AX-2000, ie. focus, zoom, and iris all from the pan bar, none the less, she picked it up real fast.
Making our set along a river bottom, we picked up a pair of coyotes working their way in from about 600yds.

I had to work em fairly hard with the call before they decided to commit.

getting a steady comfortable FFP, I let the cameraman, I mean "woman" get some more footage.

after watching them get a drink, I took my pick,

and it was the big male,

A great time with my lil sis... can't wait till she gets home for Christmas break so we can get more footage.

mixture... sometimes e caller sometimes I use hand calls, 50/50.

I know the yote's are pests! but other than shooting them what use do you get out of them. I would not mind one day going! btw I had about 6 run off a a small group of deer I had been watching hunting elk 2 years ago.

depending on the dog, and if you skin and stretch em or not, potentially a 50$ bill... when you kill over a hundred a year that pays for alot of reloading supplies... not only does the fur have its value, but I film most all dogs we kill, and that only adds more value to the animal, not only for me, but for those who enjoy seeing our hunts!

Wasn't able to take both? If I shoot/shoot at a yote I always use a distress coyote sound right afterwards.Don't always work though. That is an amazing hunt nonetheless. I love the yote hunting. Great job to both of y'all

I actually had them both line up and pry could of gotten 2 in one shot, but I missed the opportunity due to the camera... this would have been an EASY double if one of my other gunners were with me, but I gotta keep rollin and getting footage when I can and while I can.

When I have a pair coming from way out and I've got a lot of time to look them over, I try to identify the female from the male and I always try to take her first. Males are way more loyal to their mates than females are and a nice standing shot will come more often with him than her after the first shot is fired.
