So, I got these pictures on our farm last year in early March. Compared to my brothers dog, a yellow lab whose tracks are 2.75". The tracks as you can see are much larger. My old phone is 3.75". We think maybe they are wolf tracks, as they're getting more common here in WI. The tracks are after a light snow on ice in a field. Any thoughts? One track we measured, just under 4" and the other at 4.25"

My fist next to the track.

Re: Track ID

I get that from a lot of people, looks canine, but without toenail, and think it may be a cat. Hopefully get some pics on our trail cams this winter. Have our deer carcasses out with the cams on them, and hopefully find out what it is.

Re: Track ID

My professional experience taught me that to be a wolf track, it needs to be at least 4" across and near 6-7" long.

This looks like a bit=g dog. No way iit's a cat.

May be a youngster, depending on the time of year.
