230 Berger. OTM with Retumbo = SPEED!

I just got threw loading up some trial loads and decided to load some hot. 230 OTM , Fireformed Rp brass, 79.8 Retumbo, 25/1000's off the lands. Rifle is a custom .300 win mag with a 30 " broughton 5c 1:10 with a trued 700 action and a bedding job It's throated LONG specifically for the 230 Berger. I set my chrono up at 30 ft to get it in proper lighting and let her rip. shot 1) 3,033 fps 2) 3,024 fps 3) 3,009 fps. I'm actually in awe right now because the shots were under 1/2 moa. It's a hot load and I plan on backing down but Jeez, talk about hauling ass!! I knew Broughtons were fast but not that fast!

I really like the sound of these 230s but I can't seem to find them anywhere. I am very tempted to sell the .338 Lapua and build another .300 WM but the lack of bullets is really turning me off.

Berger 215 and 230 gr Hybrid and Hornady 225 all seem to show discontinued.
I switched to Lapua 220 and they seem easier to find. I got 2935 out of a 26" Schneider barrel. Hot load tho. 2750 seems gtg and low pressure.

No. Not yet. A fellow land owner who has the "bug" called me last week to tell me that an oil comp came in and cleared a pipeline on our place so much that "if I want a mile , I got it". He LOVES to shoot but has a bad ticker and is all fired up after I showed him some of my rigs. So hopefully within the next two weeks. Farthest I've got it out to is 1200 yards and it shot pretty well.

I was just looking at my ballistic chart and the load has 4,695 ft/lb of energy at muzzle and is supersonic out to 2,010 yards. UNREAL
