After 47 years, finally got fed up with New England and moved to MO. Great house, great town, great schools, low taxes, low cost of living, no gun control or threat of. My "trip" took 30 seconds as I now have a 100-yd range next to my pond as well as a small pistol range near the driveway. All is well!

Spent the last several weeks unearthing myself from boxes from my house, my businesses and my wife’s studio. It took almost a month to the day, but I finally got out to shoot. It was so cool to be able to shoot on my own property.

6.5 Creedmore, 120grn Hornady Amax. Build by Terry Cross with Surgeon Action, Sentinel stock, Kreiger Barrel. 100yds, shouldered bipod. Here’s my first two groups to zero the gun in the land of freedom.

Excellent rifle and groups. Is it a brand new build? I didn't think Terry was still building, only doing stocks. Good for you either way. I call dibs if you sell that thing :)

Thanks! Its a couple years old. Damn accurate stick! TERRY IS NOT BUILDING ANYMORE????? TELL ME IT IT'S NOT SO! Details please.

He still builds but doesn't take request builds or one off builds. I think most of his full builds are LEO agency mostly but his stocks are still going strong.

Ok, that I knew. He has been like that for a while. Scared me to think he stopped smithing altogether.

I hope to follow in your footsteps to a similarly free state. But I think you're mistaken regarding no threat of gun control. I think the federal government has every intention of eventually covering the field in this regard. If not by sweeping strokes of a broad brush, then by creeping incrementalism. Hopefully it won't be in our lifetimes. For the foreseeable future, however, it sounds like you've found a bit of paradise. Congratulations.

True. I meant no state-sponsored gun control. Unfortunately, while MO is LIKE another Country, it is still ruled by the Obamanation

Welcome to the Show Me state! We're gun friendly around here. Last year the legislature approved a measure allowing citizens to own suppressors. Prior to that, only FFL holders could get them. And while you don't need it, since you shoot on your own place, Missouri has more public shooting ranges than any other state, courtesy of the Conservation Department. I live in central MO.

Thanks, that's good to know. Any long-distance public ranges?
