Thanks to all. Starting to lean toward a Ruger 22/45 Lite. Seems to have decent reviews and would like hime to start with semi auto.
older colt woodsman, it's not a new fancy polymer but it's accurate and not to heavy.runs like a swiss watch and has a
very good trigger.
and thats about the age i was when i got mine(and still have and never to get rid of)
Ruger single action, I think they called it a Blackhawk, came with a 22lr and a 22 WM cylinder
, has a small frame.
Any suggestions on a 22 that would be a good fit for my 8 year old son's hand? Thank you.
Depends...how big is your kid???
My wife is a teacher for preschoolers, and she has a giant in her class....so yeah...
Took the kiddo in to "buy some ammo" and I had owner ask him for a favor. He said we was getting a Christmas present for a boy my son's age and needed his input. He had him handle all available models mentioned here while I was "looking for ammo". The Browning 1911 22 fit him like a glove. My son said he would definitely recommend the 1911. Hoping he is as excited on Christmas morning as I was tonight. Browning 1911 22 it is.
