Building a lightweight 308 AR, looking for a good stock. I prefer a stock with a good cheek weld, magpul acs, sopmod, etc. What's a good lightweight stock that has great cheek weld?

this is a very personal question - how a stock fits me might not work for you. I don't find the PRS comfortable, but many others do. While I have a few different types, just about everything I build for myself has a VLTOR emod or ARM.
Ive been using the Ace Skeleton on my builds. Lightweight, comfortable, solid cheek weld with the Larue/ADM type mounts.
Another bonus is the foam doesn't get hot or cold depending on shooting conditions.

Not the most robust but light just over 18oz for a fully adjustable. The extra 8oz over a Ace Skeleton gives you adj comb, LOP and adj butt plate.

Probably should have been a little more specific in my first post. I like the sopmod and ACS, they are around 14 ounces. looking for something lighter than them if possible. Collapsible isn't a necessity but a plus.
The VLTOR emod looks like the same design as the sopmod and acs, same weight as well.
I like the looks of the procomp, just too heavy, right around 20 ounces. It's double the weight of what I am hoping to find. More for a precision setup.

I have the MBA-1 on a rifle and like it a lot. I had thought about the MBA-3, but it was around 20 ounces. But looking at their site I just discovered this. It's the MBA-4 but adds just the cheek piece, not the LOP adjustment on the butt pad, but the stock itself is already collapsible so you get LOP adjustment there, and it's only 9.6 ounces. This one may be the winner.

I have an Ace Ultralight stock with foam over the buffer tube.
I could add more foam if I needed a higher cheek weld but standard AR height scope mounting works well for me (done with a PRI extended rail riser and low rings). It can also adjust for LOP with the butt pad and the butt can be canted too.
Not the most adjustable but it works for me.
There are 2-3 other stocks like the Ace Ultralight. I think one or two of those had some Pickatinny rail for a monopod and maybe QD sling swivel sockets.

If you're wanting a lightweight and collapsible option, I'd be tempted to simply recommend a CTR, maybe with a trimmed Kick-Eez foam cheek pad, depending on how far out you usually run your stock/cheekweld, so you can have that foam padding.
I know the "lightweight" fad has produced all sorts of featherweight options out there through various different design strategies, but the CTR is simply put, just a very capable, relatively lightweight, slimline stock. The friction lock and built-in QD give it some nice features, as does the protected adjustment lever, and considering how slim it is, it has a very nice cheek weld--IMHO, the CTR punches above its weight in terms of stability and comfort added, and is relatively cheap compared to other aftermarket stocks, and has a lot of aftermarket support itself, not only in the form of buttpad variations, but also monopod mounts, adjustable combs, etc. (though these will obviously start increasing the overall weight very quickly).

Yup, the RISR is a good addition to the CTR if you need some more height, I didn't mention it because the OP said he was looking for comfort, but not for a raised comb--depending on the rifle and your individual body geometry, the RISR may require taller rings/optic mount.

I’m in kinda the same boat. I’m looking at the XLR AR Stock. I’ve not used one before but they look pretty comfortable and aren’t too heavy.
I use the Luth AR MBA-1 and have removed the cheek height adjuster because it's too high for me even at its lowest adjustment. The basic stock has the perfect cheek weld height for me, and I'm using standard scope base/ring units.
The LOP adjuster is invaluable for me, as I am just under 6 1/2ft tall; mine is adjusted full length and has an additional Limbsaver 1" slip-on recoil pad mounted. It's perfect.
Aside from LOP, the standard A2 stock it replaces also works fine for me.

If you want to drop some weight on the Luth stock, I have put 1/4-20 screws in place of the heavy screws provided for adjusting lop and cheek riser.
