Probably another LOW made lr optic. I'm not actually a fan of the floating center reticle. I use those damn outer line markings to call shifts to other targets when spotting.
Probably not a lot of notice here since it's listed as a SFP optic in one section, and FFP in another...confusion usually generates hesitation to buy. Perhaps @jb1000br can clarify...
Yes, I believe XRS was LOW, as well as Razor HD Gen II, Athlon Cronus, Revic and other similar form scopes
The new Trijicons are all LOW scopes. One is FFP, one is SFP (same mag), and the other higher mag one is SFP, if I'm remembering correctly off the top of my head. I have one or two on the way, and will report back once I do some shooting.
Yep, all the nicer Bushnells are LOW.... LRHS, DMR, ERS, XRS, etc.
Razors are LOW.
Athlon Cronus is LOW.
NF is LOW.
SIG Tango6 is LOW.
The list goes on and on and on, lol.

You can spec out a scope and they will build it for you. Well companies can at least.
The lower cost versions likely come from a "menu" or an existing version with "options". Specifically reticles and knobs. They can tweak the specs a bit allowing it to not be able to be easily compared to other similar scopes by other brands. Especially since we, the consumer, agonize over the minutia of the specs.
Keep in mind, not all LOW optics are made equally. They are all good to very good, but that’s why the difference in cost across some of their different offerings.
That being said, this one from Trijicon looks like it could be a nice option. Almost 30mils of elevation adjustment.

Posted about it the other day. Won the 4-30 FFP in MOA at the SD Guardian Long Range Match last month. According to their product manager and several other employees that were at the match, I got the first one out of their hands.

Initial impressions:
The glass is fantastic. That being said my range of optic ownership is pretty limited (NXS, XRS I & II). Haven't been reunited with my gear from the SD match, but brought the optic on the flight home and threw it on the CZ 455.
Elevation turret felt great, but the windage was a bit mushy, possibly due to the turret being smaller, but not horrendous.
I'm not an illumination fan, but the green option is a nice addition. And the with intensity variability it would be much more useful than the NXS that I had.
Definitely a sturdy feel to it. Ocular lens/zoom/parallax are smooth and easy to adjust.
The only other thing I noticed is it seems like the parallax numbers are way off. As in I was focused on a hill side @~1500 yards and the parallax mark was ~300 yards. Not sure on this one since every eye is a bit different, so I'll have to see if there is a consensus among friends.
Unfortunately aside from the day of P-dog hunting and now the 22, I haven't had a chance to really take it through the paces.

And as mentioned in other threads, not all NF are LOW. Plus, even the NF LOW are not really LOW, in the way that the others are.
I'm pretty sure that SWFA is made at one of the other, smaller places. There are a couple of lesser known factories that can't compete with LOW for size, but who produce high quality stuff. Definitely in Japan though.
The 4.5-30x56 and 5-50x56 look eerily similar to Delta Stryker....
Both are from LOW, naturally, and the Delta versions are both very nice. I expect Trijicon to be the same.

SWFA's HD scopes are made by LOW.
SWFA Classic scopes are from a different Japanese factory (Kenko). Kenko also had a factory in the Phillipines, so the SWFA 1-4x24 SFP scope is from there.

Is Kenko the company that makes Sightrons and March as well, or are they made at another OEM?
Sightron does not list where their stuff is made, so I shouldn't disclose it.

Interesting. When I saw March scopes are advertised as made in Japan, I figured they used an OEM rather than their own shop.

Thanks Ilya, it looks like MarinePMI and I both remembered correctly, though me only partly. That's a pretty good day for me
Kenko can make really nice stuff, but like all OEMs, they make products to the quality level appropriate to the price. That having been said, they take pride in their work and I do not think I have ever seen a Kenko product that is not durable.
In general, LOW is a better known OEM, though.
There are a couple of other Japanese OEMs, but in terms of quality, I think LOW and Kenko are the better ones.

i just don’t get all that hard about most of the LOW stuff today. Reminds me of Golden Corral - it’s good, but...

Forgot I had one OK freehand pic through the scope while P-dog hunting. Circled dead dog area ranged at 1010 yards. Picture taken on a semi cloudy day around the 16h30 mark.
I probably didn't clarify - the Golden Corral in Colorado Springs is excellent as GC's go. The cooks that make the steaks and such are really top notch here most days.

I like my Trijicon stuff. I had looked at their scopes a little while back but they did not have what I was looking for. Nice to see they are joining the long range game. Might have to consider for a build down the road.

It appears to be built with mechanicals similar to the Bushnell LRHSi.
So far it is looking nice but I haven't tested it really and the best I'll be able to A-B it with are a couple Night Force, a Minox ZA5, Super Sniper, VX-R Patrol and a Nitrex TR2 (also LOW I believe, same as Weaver Super Slam).
I know I missed this too. Nice to see Trijicon come out with (what looks like a competitive option) new offering more suited to prs.
Went out and zero'd the scope today. Very easy to use. Parallax adjust down to 20 yards, as claimed. Resolution and brightness are good, even on 30X. The reticle is simple and easy to use. The zero stop is a different design than I'm used to, and seems very well thought out. Easy to use, easy to set, fast to adjust. The ocular has a broad window of adjustment, broader than any scope I have used before. All the controls sound and feel good, and are simple to use from behind the gun. I haven't done any tracking tests yet, or really any testing, beyond trying the scope out and getting it zero'd. If it tracks properly and is rugged, I'd say they have a really nice scope out there now. Though I didn't test it, the turrets and the reticle matched up correctly when zero'ing, so thats a good first start. Took 3 rounds to zero, just like every other top scope I've used.

The turret has a screw top for your fingers. That releases the outer turret so you can spin it back to zero without engaging the drum. When the turret cap is off, you can access the zero stop, which has a few small screws, much like a nightforce turret. Once you lossesn them, you can twist the drum down to bottom out at zero. Then you tighten the screws, reinstall the turret cover, and screw down the cap by hand. Fast and easy, and hard to mess up.
I hate having to unscrew tiny set screws on the turret in order to remove it and put it back to zero. The large finger screw on top of the cap is a nice change for me.
Took the scope out to 996 yards today. Tracked perfectly, easy to use, good subtension on smaller targets. Glass, even in fairly heavy mirage, was easily able to resolve dulled out steel at distance and in shadow. I'm sold so far.

You are selling me on the Tirjicon already. I have been reading up on the Burris XTR II, the Vortex Razor and several other comparable scopes. THEN I had to go talk to a sniper friend of mine from the service and he is all about the Schmidt and Bender line that he used.
I love Trijicon products and I am looking forward to reading more of your range reports on this scope. It will HURT my pocketbook but, "buy once, cry once" is an expensive and hard lesson to learn...
