No fitting required should be drop in and shoot. Magpul mags won’t work with this combo though. With some tweaking of the mag I think it would.
The mag won’t seat at all with the bolt closed. The feed lips putrude to far to run the bolt also.
Ran into the same thing with the Bravo chassis. And all mags did the same thing so I shortened the mag catch/release a bit and now all mags work. I’m not sure how hard that mod would be on Magpul pro chassis tho.

With the Magpul Pro chassis aics mags rub as well. Trimmed the fees lips and they fit great now. Same could be done on the magpuls but would require a lot more.
I just kept trimming a little at a time and trying it didn’t have to take off a ton. I could run the bolt at least with the ai mags. The magpul is a different story.

I have a request from anyone with a factory offering. I’m having some feeding issues with my bravo stocked Havak and am wondering if anyone can take a picture of where the stripping bolt lug contacts the round in the magazine (just as it’s making contact)
What's the deal with the Havak in 300 win mag? I see several distributors have it marked as "coming soon" but it's been that way for months? Didn't Glen say it was just a problem with the carbon fiber mags??
Some people have them already. They are extremely back ordered . I was told at least 4 months for mine . It’s been 4 months 10 days. I’m sure the distributors are waiting to get them in also .
Anyone have any groups or range reports with this thing? I'm almost 3 months in waiting and I need something to keep me patient!
1/2 to 5/8 moa with my starter load just to get shooting. 6.5cm - 41.5 gr H4350 under a 140 eld .020 off the lands. Has got me really excited to start actual load development if just picking a charge and shooting it shot that well.
It’s worth the wait to me. If it takes longer then expected for a good rifle it’s worth it. I imagine they make a set amount of rifles then mail them too. So we are probably receiving them in waves. I know if you order one directly through places like cabelas depending on caliber , you should receive it fast.
Definatley worth the wait. I chose not to wait and bought a CORE which was just finished and lucky for me was for sale.
I think now, I will wait for the Sauer 6.5 PRC's come out for this caliber.

Looks like the PH1 is much more backordered compared to the HP1, my HP1 came in 2 months after ordering.
I've had my 300 WM since spring. Initially i was disappointed with the action roughness but it has smoothed up nicely. I really like the stock, mag, and trigger.
I have roughly 160 rounds through mine and have yet to find a load i'm satisfied with. I was a bit concerned with the deep spiral flutes in a 300 WM chambering but figured seekins wouldn't put them out if it was an issue. I'm on the road for work and don't have a much time at home to develop loads. Hunting season is here and I don't have time to dick with it anymore. I had emailed with seekins a while back about accuracy struggles and decided to try some factory loads they recommended for accuracy validation. Berger munitions 215s showed a little promise then got ugly again. Precision hunter 200 ELDx will print a decent group every once in a while but not for 5 shots. I emailed again last weekend to let them know it still wasn't shooting well and haven't heard back.
I am curious what seekins considers a satisfactory level of accuracy. The only bolt gun I've ever struggled this much with on load development was a 6.5 saum, also with a spiral fluted barrel. Unless seekins has some way to address it I'll probably end up cutting my losses and rebarreling it. Conclusion - I wouldn't recommend one of these in 300 WM at this time.
Two people sum up how you feel about the gun? From reading what you wrote on rokslide , if you put the same amount of effort into shooting the rifle as you did reloading I’m surprised you even hit paper .
Directly through Seekins. I fully expected it to be 4-5 months but it was just a hair over 3.
He is well within his right to post his thoughts on his rifle.
His posts in the other forum aren't even bashing the rifle, just documenting his process.

That's bad mouthing? Holy shit I hope you grow some thicker skin before you ever start a company.
And while many people do immediately blame the gun, this guy at least listed his process and the loads he attempted, so we can make judgement for ourselves. 160 rounds is a lot for load development to just get consistent sub-MOA. Especially for a 300 WM with limited barrel life.
With all that being said, I'm still interested in purchasing one of these...in 300WM. Two guys not completely satisfied is not enough to turn me away, but I appreciate the data point.

Yea 160 rounds load development? I think a new LD process needs to take place. I don’t want to just discount the shooter from the start but a lightweight magnum draws me faster to that conclusion.

Have had my PH1 for a few months in 6.5PRC. Ordered on Feb. 20th, shipped Aug. 15th.
Shoots great with factory 147 ELD-M ammo. Bedding on the stock is very well done, and the stock itself is well thought out. With a viper PST and low rings I have no need for a cheek riser.
The only thing I'm going to change is the 510. Swapping it out for a TacSport and get it tuned to the action. That should help the cock on close hitch on this bad boy.

No, I summed up how I feel about a gun I own. Seems you're having an emotional reaction because you laid money down on one. I look forward to hearing how yours does with intelligent load development and superior shooting skills. Maybe I can learn something.
Interesting assumptions you've made. I used disclaimers on the Rokslide thread to show possible blame elsewhere. How do you know what my loading process has been since i made those posts? I work construction and relocate nationwide twice a year typically. I used to move my loading bench with me, now it is in the house i purchased back home. I have been getting home for 4 days every 6 or 7 weeks, gun is with me on the road. So yeah, not ideal for load development (I did take COAL tool to measure distance to lands). That said, I didn't expect to find much difficulty finding a decent load with H1000, Norma Brass, F215s, and 215 hybrids or 212 ELDx - fairly established combinations. I haven't done 160 rounds of load development, 45 rounds have been factory precision hunter 200 eldx or berger munitions 215 hybrid. Now that I think about it more - I have shot 100 rounds with virgin norma brass and 25 have been reloaded/shot. 170 rounds total down the barrel.
Here's the thing, I have a factory browning xbolt 300 WSM, stainless stalker. It weighs 6.5 lbs, doesn't have a brake, has a mediocre heavyish trigger and a soft flexible stock. I shot it (and my beanland 6.5 SAUM, DTA 300 NM, 6.5x47) in the same sessions next to the Havak. My WSM handloads and the last 3 different factory loads it has seen all shoot tighter with less dramatic flyers than the havak has shown with anything to date.
I thought it might have been my hasty loading practices at first, cleaned that up and it didn't make a difference
I thought it might have been my poor shooting but i shot fine with other rifles there, some of which being much less pleasant to shoot. I also had my co-worker who spent the better part of 2 decades as a marine sniper shoot it. His groups looked like mine.
I never let the barrel get hot enough to be uncomfortable to the touch.
It has only had a LRHSi mounted on it that was new when mounted, I'll likely try another scope on it when I get the time to make sure there isn't a zero retention issue.
i'm not trying to bash Seekins as a company, they earned their good name. I have seen enough good reports on the short action calibers that I would recommend a havak in one of the 6.5's in a second based on the features I enjoy on my rifle.
It is not terribly inaccurate by any means, just not what I had hoped for and I admit that it is still possible there is another culprit. I bought it as a rifle light enough to carry on backcountry elk hunts that I could shoot better at distance than my existing lightweight hunting rifles. It has not been that for me and I'm sharing with others to interpret as they please.
If it won’t shoot it won’t . If a marine scout sniper shot it . Then nothing could be wrong except the gun right ..... lol
As far as comments about 5 shot groups. I would have rather shot 3 but when the next opportunity to load more is 1-2 months away I load a couple extra in case I knowingly pull one when shooting groups. It is more statistically relevant and I can’t run home and load 10 more to verify it wasn’t a 3 shot anomaly right now.

For those interested: I e-mailed Seekins CS this morning with some questions concerning the PH1 in .308 - response was very prompt, thank you Harley. 1) I did not want a threaded muzzle - option not available. 2) Asked if sales tax was collected for a shipped rifle to MO - question not answered (probably not an appropriate CS question) 3) Confirmed that the recoil pad is a “soft” Limb Saver brand to absorb recoil 4) Lead time for the PH1 is 4 months 5) Asked if Seekins group recommended a scope for this rifle in .308 - question not answered (I guess too many variables to make a recommendation 6) The PH1 in .308 does not (presently) ship with a carbon fiber, flush mount magazine. Seems like a very nice rifle at that price offering - I will watch to see if options are offered in the future.

This will be my first 6.5 rifle (pretty excited). I have a Surgeon Scalpel in .308 that accepts the AI mags - will those mags work with this rifle?
I've read quite a bit and from what I understand they will, but I wanted to purchase more and don't want to purchase the wrong ones.
Also - I have Seekins rings in Medium height - does anyone know if they will be too tall for a Nightforce NXS 2.5-10x42 or should I have gone with the Seekins Low height?
I'm also very interested in sending the stock off to have the adjustable cheek piece installed. Is that individual pretty trustworthy? Only having an email address to research him doesn't get me very far. If he's been around the Hide performing for years then excellent. Thanks!

I’m not using a factory offering stock but I didn’t have luck with standard AICS mags. I have a KRG Bravo chassis. Going to AW mags as I’ve talked with another member and he’s having good luck with them.
Yea lol it’s not my ideal situation but the rifles shoots great and I’m more than willing to get it working in order to keep it.
Well they get the to work with the HP1 model so they obviously work sometime. The bottom lug always hit the feed lips for me on them. They are cheaper and worth that shot.
+1 on having the adjustable cheek piece. I would love to get that done to my stock also but I’m not sure where to begin with that
