Movie Theater The Highwaymen on Netflix

Took me a couple tries to get through it, boring plus too much hollywoodland changing history.

Yes, control act 34 is against Amendment II when you could own, possess and purchase at local hardwear store.

and the store owner helps him carry them out :)

The gun errors probably turned some off to it.
Make a gun error in a history movie, and they are lost for the rest of the flick.
Go to a theater to watch something like this and you can hear them behind you
"that's wrong" or "I woulda done this instead of that".

Just before the NFA of '34, where you could walk into the local hardware store and buy a Thompson, or have one delivered to your door via US Mail. Where's my wayback machine when I need one.

Thompson M28's with 20 round mags were also marketed to ranchers and cowboys by the Auto-Ordnance Corp. It was promoted as a step up in firepower against the rustlers and bandits of the time. There is simply no two-legged or four-legged threat out in the wild that can stand up to 350 foot-pounds of kinetic energy being delivered at 800 rounds per minute.

There were many Thompsons in the hands of cattlemen and private railroad guards by 1934. One stroke of a pen from some elitist politician who has never stepped out of an elegantly lit and soft carpeted office turned these hard working outdoorsmen into felons overnight.

I live not 15 minutes from where the infamous showdown occurred. I loved the movie and thought making it from the perspective of the texas rangers was great. It's a small thing, but I also really liked the fact that you never get a good look at bonnie or clyde until the showdown.

Very good film.

Best gun store in America was in that small town.

Idiots from the FBI tried for more than 18 months to track Bonnie and Clyde down with no luck whatsoever.

Frank Hamer did it in 90 days. He figured out their routes and unlike the movie he was home on a regular basis during the manhunt. He also made a deal to keep all the guns he acquired for the hunt and from the villains after he captured them.

I doubt seriously from everything I read that he was as conflicted and despondent later in life from the actions he took during his career, nor was Maney Gault.

As part of the Netflix, "we hate white men, especially if they are heroic and just". series of bullshit, they throw in some horsecrap about Frank and Maney murdering 70 Mexicans while they slept in a canyon after robbing, raping and killing Americans as they reason they are old and miserable.

I enjoy some stuff of Netflix, but their social justice bullshit is hard to take. I was surprised Frank and Maney didn't go all "Brokeback Mountain" in the middle of the show.

Exactly, somebody gets why I did not like the movie.

I wish Gun Control turds were not cast in gun movies

From Kevin - Hunting is OK- Gun Control is needed

His quote

Look, in this politically-charged [climate], my wife got me a shotgun, ’cause I hunt. And she got me an heirloom. And I know that there’s a lot of thoughts about guns, and…[it’s] almost like race, almost like black or white, you’re either on one side or you’re on the other. I own guns and, for myself, I hope that there are stricter gun laws. I’m all for it. I’m not so black or white about that.
