Any public land near Belton TX?

Just what the title says. there are a few private ranges around here but just wondering if any unicorn public lands are within, like say, 50 miles? New here so asking for any local input.

No public land to shoot on that I know of. Some Corp of Engineers land you can hunt on, but it is only archery and shotgun.

Cant help you on Belton but if you are willing to drive down to Liberty Hill, Best of the West is a 1000 yard range. Not too far a drive for you.

What are you looking to do?

Just do some shooting, plinking, some drills that a range may not allow.

Drive up to Waxahachie and check out ETTS(extreme tactics and training). Has steel out to 1200 and a ton of pistol and AR bays. Pretty cool range. You can do pretty much what you want also.
