The Curse Oak Island 11/19

Supposedly the curse says 1 more person has to die before the treasure can be found . Well for fucks sake could someone hurry up and die so we can see the treasure!!!

For those that may not know the backstory on the island based off of details that are fact...

About 200 some years ago, a group saw some lights on the island that was uninhabited. The went and found a depression and started to dig. 10 feet deep they found oak timbers making a platform. They kept digging and found more oak at 20 feet. Found them at every 10 feet down to 90 where they found a carved stone with unknown markings. They moved that stone and tried digging and it flooded.

Fast forward now. They look back in records and find reports of booby trap flood tunnels, coconut fiber from 1000s of miles away, and odd carvings and artifacts from all over the island.

As to speculation. Theories fly due to no one knowing why anyone would dig at least 90 feet deep and place oak planks at 10 feet. Freemasons, pirates, and knights templar are popular suspects. Aging tests are placing a date around 1769. Ideas on what the treasure could be is anythinng from works of Shakespeare, religious artifacts hidden from kings, and pirate treasure.

I suspect any treasure is gone but I hope to find out who.

I think it’s funny they are looking for artifacts with a track hoe and a giant ass core drill.

I think a lot of that reason is that for over 200 years people have been drilling, digging, blasting, and excavating the entire area. They dont even have a good idea on how much the elevation has changed. A record can say a depth but the surface has changed so much they know its not accurate now.

They do have an archeologist on the crew. Last sesson, once the unearthed structures, he came in and was digging by hand.

Think waaaay outside the box.

Time travelers.

There are only two reasons to dig an expensive hole like this. 1, to take something out that's worth a lot of money. Or 2, to put something in that's worth a lot of money.

Shafts can be sunk through muddy water. If you're interested look up "shaft sinking using ground freezing". My 30 years in the business says this is not a difficult endeavor.

However, it is a profitable endeavor. This hole is producing interest, air time, viewers and advertising dollars. It is likely more profitable that any of my deep hole projects and for that I applaud them, but I don't watch them.

Thank you,
MrSmith

The question is what is still there, and who and why was it put there in the first place.

If the "treasure" is gone, which is very well could be, no issue, but consider how extensive the system is on this tiny island. The theory that this was two islands artificially connected is making more and more sense.

I have a feeling this is going to be pre-Columbus when it's all said and done. It might be slightly after, but even still, I think North American History will be adjusted for it.

The tresaure quest is a side issue as to the bigger questions, who and why, and at what time in history.

Issue is we already know the “Vikings “ were on North American (Way north/Canada) soil before Columbus.

Some say he had knowledge of North America because of Viking “maps or info”

If they do find anything it’s not going to be game changing.

They could do it in a non destructive way, such as using ground penetrating radar.

I have used Radar and the latest find they use Seismic testing,

the problem is, people have been looking here for 200 years, they have had cave-ins due to the flood tunnels, the pit was boobytrapped which pours in seawater.

There is all sorts of stuff that is searcher not depositer underground

Hi,

Maybe we should leak that Epstein has hidden audio tapes buried all over the island.
It would take about 4 hours for certain "foundations" to have removed the island in its' entirety and relocated to a secret warehouse to sift through the entire island.
Island problem solved, Island problem staying solved....

Sincerely,
Theis

They found 3 treasure chests in the original money pit in the 1800s, that is when they started to dig.

After the surface treasure was found, they stumbled on the money pit with the platforms that extended down 90 ft, at which point they hit the 90ft stone with the inscription and then hit the flood tunnels triggering the traps.

There are clues all over the island, there are stones placed in a specific order, carvings on the stones, and now, the structures underground in Smith's Cove.

This year they find the mineshaft style entrance underground which points to the money pit.

But there is supposed to be more than one thing buried on the island.

There is Nordic artifacts found, Pre Colonial, in the Great Lakes area as far in as Michigan.

There are remnants of civilization in turkey that are older than Egypt, in fact when Egypt was at in its heyday, these ruins were as old to Egypt as Egypt is to us. The history of the world is much grander than we have barely scratched the surface of in the past 200 years.

Understood.
I don't even want to be on the same internet as Theis with his new hypothesis.
Man that's a dangerous thought.

Here is FDR on Oak Island searching for treasure in his youth

I've followed the show from the beginning and what keeps bringing me back is that they have found far too much for it to be a hoax.

The scientific approach they have been taking recently has opened up a ton of new possibilities as well. It's quite interesting how they can pinpoint things like the lead cross having been mined from a particular quarry in France in the 1300's.

I expect this could very well rewrite U.S. history when it's all said and done.

I've also followed from thr beginning. I remember coming across sn old Reader's Digest and reading the same article that got the Leguina's interested.

I agree that they've found too much to be a hoax. A French map and the ties to many important names is what impresses me. Ibthink the show could move a little faster at times and some of the therories are way out there (but no more than the Hoffa joke mentioned)

I was impressed with the information by the NASA guy last season and his scaled measurements. I hope they expand on his Intel this season.

it makes for some great mindless binge watching. personally i believe the show is now way more about theories and the who's and whats vs actually finding treasure. i think old samuel ball found it and whatever it was is long gone.

the voice over announcer can get a little tiresome though. wood... from the 1800s... could it be...

although i do love to use that voice whenever i find something in the house. pisses my wife off to no end but i do love beating a dead horse.

I enjoy a good treasure hunt. I’d rather dig up this most recent dead thread than start anew.

I’ve been watching reruns, fun stuff. I want to believe, something was there, there can’t be this much coincidence in one spot.

I watched the first 6 ish seasons..... till the boss decided our dvr didn’t have room for such shows. If those guys hid the treasure of all treasures. it is the secret to women. What exactly do they want?! Maybe a short paragraph in layman’s terms would do. Carved in a stone obviously.

although I do miss the days when a treasure trail led to treasure.
