that's a shame, and a travesty. when folks that have done nothing wrong are visited in the wee hours, they're going to expect the worst and meet their visitors armed, which will create dangerous conditions for both sides.
That's kind of the objective. Makes for good headlines and the politicians get to use the death or great bodily harm done to any number of officers caught in that situation to their advantage. LEO really need to take a long hard look at the red flag laws and understand that the injury or death that very well could occur to either side is only good for the politician. They don't care about any of the officers that have to respond and I wouldn't be surprised if they hope in some way some get hurt or killed in the process. In the aftermath they can then use that to justify why the laws were put there in the first place.
If you're LEO you need to pound it into the heads of any officer that's riding the fence on these laws. Not one politician that writes or votes it into law cares about you and those with you and or what happens to you. Just like the rest of the people in society you are to be used and thrown away when done with.
Let me state that again. If you're LEO, the politicians that write and put into law the red flag laws DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU AND WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU.

I am disappointed but not surprised it passed. I was hoping against hope that Monday made a serious impression on the Virginia democrats. We have our answer. I hope and pray that no-one gets hurt or worse before this can get to court. The democrats are lying about being able to sue for false claims. There is no prevision for that in the bill. Also, while their argument is over mental health issues, of gun owners, there is no mention of or prevision for mental health treatment in any of their bills.
