I have a Bushnell DMR2 3.5-21x50 I am using on a CZ455 rifle for NRL22 type matches. The side parallax adjustment goes down to 50 yards and with this particular scope it is closer to 60-65 yards at that setting.

There is a fair bit of information about turning the objective lens carrier in/out to set a fixed parallax scope to closer ranges, but mostly with lower powered scopes.

Has anyone done this with a higher powered side parallax scope?

I don’t see why I couldn’t set the scope at 16x and 50 yards and say, adjust the objective to be parallax free at 15 yards, but where does the infinity setting end up?

Thanks for any help.

The objective lens is how you do your initial parallax settings. We usually set the side PA at 100yds, and adjusted the parallax out of the scope with the objective lens. Just know that the numbers on your dial will mean nothing, and you may lose long range parallax adjustment.

Small adjustments on the objective lens will make a big change so go slow.

Thanks I will give it a go this weekend.

The threads on the objective lens carrier look to be 30-40 tpi, are you saying it will require less than a turn?

i might be missing it but the Bushnell has 2 adjustments objective lens and side knob.

never saw that?

This scope has the parallax adjustment on the side of the tube on the adjustment turret boss.

The problem is that it won’t adjust down to 25 yards, and I’d like to move the whole adjustment range down by screwing the objective lens out
