Went to Bristol BP this morning was the first one in the door. Empty spot where the mark5 was but did score a vx6hd fire dot duplex illuminated for $849. It was the display model last one left. Normal price was $1,699. Looks like the old 270 is getting an upgrade!
You guys can have it..... everyone always trying to make a buck instead of let someone have a deal

had my brother hit a store for me and after taxes and shipping it was ~1030 for 1. 975 after taxes and 55 dollars for him to ship. all things considered, 100 or even 200 for someones time isn't that bad considering normal price here. i gave him 100 dollars and thats my blood.
im sure some will make some more, but most ive seen here has been for cost or near cost. they will be harder to sell as time goes on.

It's not someone's time when they go there and buy scopes to resale that someone who needs it could have bought it. But a lil extra is fine.. not 300 extra

I’m a day late to the party...just swung through the Saginaw, MI Cabelas on my way home from the cabin, sold out. The worker said they sold out in hours the first day. I’ll be driving right by the Dundee, MI store on my way home also, but I’m sure those are long gone too.

I went to mine and a guy walked out with 5 scopes.. he even managed to get one off a hide member that was re selling for 900.. so he has 6 now.. and has sold 3 for a profit.. that is by far un called for.. just my 2 cents though
My rants are over..sorry.. but thanks for listening lol!!! if anyone wants to be decent and sell me either scope for a project I have going. That be great.. it's for a good cause..

My apologies if anyone got offended. Made a post that I’d picked up a couple of VX6. I was asked in a pm if I’d sell which I replied sure for $1100. I have a receipt showing I paid $940 and with shipping that leaves less than $140 profit—hardly gouging.

The only way you will get full travel is with like a 30 moa base in which you will need to adjust your zero stop way down. My zero stop on my 5-25 and 7-35 were set more towards the middle from factory

i got a 40 moa base on my r700 with a diamondback tactical, my mech zero was 10.5 mils from bottom, leaves 18.9 mils up.

I understand that I won't be able to dial the full turret without a 20 or 30 MOA base. My issue is that the turret will only mechanically dial 16 mils when the specs show it should be 29 mils.
Have you tried going all the way down with the zero stop.. all the way up.. and all the way back down to see if it breaks loose.. I see it on the whiskey 5 scopes also. If you play with the zero stop you should see it get better..
Yep I've tried that. I get three clicks down, about 16 mils up. And it stops rock solid. I'm going to get ahold of Leupold CS and see if I'm missing something. What has everyone else experienced for total travel out of the box?
You guys pouting about people selling these scopes at a profit kill me. If I bought a AXMC for $1 does that mean it's worth $1 when I sell it? Swap your tampons and start calling local Cabelas stores within 200 miles in any direction or pay reasonable market price. It is what it is.
noted maybe i will exploit the hide next time i find a deal instead of letting people know.
there is a balance on both sides, doesn't affect me, i can decide my own cost benefit and choose to pay their price or not, the market will tell them if they are asking to much or not.

Just an FYI, LibertyOptics sells these for a really good price. If you are butt hurt because someone was able to snag a few from Cabelas and now wants to make a profit, then buy one from a Hide vendor who has top notch customer service. I bought 2 scopes from Scott recently.
I was lucky enough to get two mk 5’s yesterday at bass pro. Stood in line for 1/2hr before the store opened. Then proceeded to take a number and wait another 3 1/2 hrs for my turn. I felt like it was worth it because I was saving 450$ an hr! Thanks hide for the heads up. Cheers

A family member grabbed the last one from Cabela’s in GC for me. thanks for the alert ya’ll.
Take the cap off and turn it down or go 3 clicks down, loosen zero stop screws set back to zero tighten screws and repeat.
Just curious, what height rings are people running to just clear the barrel? I have a Tikka T3 Varmint with 0 MOA Leupold base for reference... Hoping to get it as low as possible without dealing with returns/exchanges!
