so in light of certain special reports from afghanistan and references from genesis...just pondering.
what is the recommended
minimum apropriate caliber for engaging hostile nephilim if and when encountered.
i typically consider 5.56 a decent terminal performer on regular sized folks but these hybrid demigods maybe hard to take down. ar10 a better semi solution?

Local to me professor at Evangel University (Assemblies of God,Springfield Missouri) has been to that exact valley in Israel and has studied it in detail. He came to our church and did a couple talks on that event as recorded in scripture.

It's a fascinating story. All the things mentioned in the bible are right there still. Iron bedstead and pottery with Goliath of Gath inscribed still in Gaza museums for public viewing.

Round river rocks still right there where David picked them up. (local tour guide jokes that the gov dumps more rocks there each year to replace those taken as souvenirs by tourists...!)

I like history.

As an aside, if you read Buffalo Bill's memoir, he tells about how in the 1870's he was scouting for the US Army in the Niobrara area of Nebraska. He says a Pawnee indian brought him a human femur, which was inspected and verified by the Army surgeon. Was from a guy about nine feet tall.

Pawnee guy said the bone was from an ancient mound, (which were burial mounds for these huge guys) from a very bad guy who was of a race of giants known to be enemies of the Great Spirit, belligerent, rebellious, and very, very disrespectful. Pawnee legend said they could run down full grown bison and rip off a leg...

(shrugs shoulders) Cody was a showman.

But many newspaper reports from the 1800s talk about giant bones found. The Smithsonian hides these finds and denies, denies, denies because it supports the biblical narrative. Can't have that.

(Assumed) velocity of 1900 FPS with energetic powder and no contaminants...

1900x1900x650gr = 2,346,500,000
÷ by 450240(ballistic constant) = 5,211 foot pounds at the muzzle... Plus the massive cross section and energy distribution efficiency of the soft lead conical projectile...

When what needs to absolutely die yesterday?? The target at the muzzle end or the person pulling the trigger? 🤣

.....yes....

It is only marginally more comfortable to be behind the gun than in front of it

I actually haven't chronod it.....as you can imagine it's not a gun you really want to shoot more than once or twice

But based on the recoil from a similar weight Ruger #1 in .375hh...idea say in the 5k ft- lbs feels about right
