Boys and Their Toys: Auto Trickler V3 - First Run - Nails IT.

I got to V3 from V1 one revision at a time. Assuming this is your first Autotrickler, what you're not able to appreciate (based on V1 and V2 experience) is just how much simpler life is with Bluetooth on the V3. Changing charge weights is a simple matter of just plugging the new weight into the Autotrickler app on your phone.

I'm delighted with mine, no complaints at all.

Love my autotrickler. Expensive but worth it

Especially when one adds all the 419 upgrades. Here I have to give a shout out to Jon at 419. My hopper came with cracked glass --he had a replacement out to me next day.

I REALLY recommend the topper to the trickler unit. Kinda pricey but does a nice, pretty air tight seal so I'm lazy... I don't pour the powder back into the jug :)

Yep, I have all the A419 upgrades as well. For all those who complain about the cost of the V3, consider doing it the "hard way", which was to buy all of the upgrades each step of the way (starting with the original Rev 1), only to replace them on the next iteration/Rev. That's what I ended up doing, not by choice though. Back when Adam first came out with V1, no one knew there would be subsequent revs/releases.

So, V3 with A419 upgrades is the way to buy it today.

You are killing me with that video. I’ve been avoiding the upgrade from a charge master due to cost but that’s so much faster!

I’ll pass on the info I learned here on SH earlier (and still in a thread somewhere):

Different kinds of weighing.

Chargemaster has a lessor precise manner of scale ‘weighment’.

This’ll be sure to add a of lot muddiness and help confuse you:

Bottom line: A&D FX 120i ‘weigh/way’ better than Chargemaster

pretty slick.

I'll be interested when they cut out the middle steps and drop powder directly into the case.

it took me forever to finally be able to justify the cost. What made it happen was I got my wife involved and she asked if there was anyway to sped the process up. I seen an opportunity and I took it lol

Thats awesome.

I run 2 auto throw and between them I can drop just as fast if not faster. In my process the only way to speed things up would be to drop powder directly into the case and cut out the pan and funnel transfer step.

Imagine inserting a case into this setup instead of a cup and pulling it out and going direct to your press to seat bullet. While your seating another case is being filled, rinse and repeat.

I see that as the logical evolution of this process.

I have a question for ya'll about the auto trickler and loading to wide nodes.

These things are so accurate, is figuring out the node really necessary? Or can you just pick a powder weight and figure out a seating depth your gun likes?
I have one and I've been wondering that for a little while.

I mean it's accurate to basically +/- one single grain (or kernel) of powder.
