Long time fan of Gun Smoke but just recently found out this about Festus (Ken Curtis)
IMO, few could really excel alongside SRV; Johnny Copeland is one of them:
It's amazing how members of that band are still going strong. Chris is the drummer for Kenny Wayne Shepard, Reese is the keyboardist for Joe Bonamassa and Tommy Shannon is still doing local gigs and session work.
Yeah, think about him playing with Johnny Winter at Woodstock...
