Ordering a .223 barrel soon for a build to launch some heavy 22 bullets. Is there any benefit to having a wylde chamber rather than a standard 223 on a bolt gun?

I, and several other knowledgeable riflemen I know, shot factory 5.56x45 mk262 77s out of our long-throated (for a standard .223 chamber) rifles for years - understanding the caveat that a standard .223 chamber would cause dangerous pressure spikes.A Wylde barrel can shoot .223 and 5.56. Other barrels will only be able to shoot one or the other.
You are absolutely correct. You can shoot a .223 out of a rifle chambered in 5.56. Shooting a 5.56 in a .223 chamber will create a high pressure situation. Do I understand correctly?Incorrect. But there is absolutely no problem shooting .223 Rem in a 5.56mm NATO rifle. Here's the SAAMI FAQ on it.

Sounds like the wylde is the way to go then for loading long. Appreciate the info.
