Thank you vey much.Yikes man, these clowns are going to eat you alive for bringing up a Harris bipod....especially in your first post. If you’re trying to decide between a Harris or a Harris knock-off (clone), get the real thing. They are worth the cost in better overall quality.
If he doesn't want to pay the small price for a Harris, I doubt he would want to pony up for the atlas..Skip the Harris and get an atlas.
Your welcome
Is there anything specific wrong with the harris or are other bipods more feature rich?Harris vs. Chinesium clones?
Harris 110% of the time.
Harris vs. the rest of the premium market?
Literally anything else 110% of the time.
(*cough* Thunderbeast *cough*)
Did fine for the 10 years was in army. Granted I prefer better bipod now, the Harris will do if thats all they can afford. The Harris barely does its job
The knockoff does about 50% of that
Search the forums. Lots of great discussions on bipods and the benefits to going with a atlas for example over a Harris.
Harris still does its job. Others just do it better

I agree with you. Harris will do if thats all one can afford, but mech better ones out there. Don't buy fake anything bipod as in my opinion Chineseium and firearms parts don't belong in same place. belongRight
That’s the part where I stated the Harris still does its job others just do it better
I own:
5 Harris (6-9, 2X 9-13, 2X 13.5-27)
1 Harris knockoff (Walmart from 15 years ago)
1 Atlas Cal Gen 2
1 GGG (Came with my 50 cal and that’s all I use it for)
The Harris does a fine job. Especially for a hunting bipod. The Atlas is a better bipod as far as build quality, squaring up with the rifle and overall ruggedness. Also has a solid QD for picatinny on the atlas vs stud mount on Harris. But cost way more than a Harris
Theres plenty of threads comparing bipods and plenty where lowlight gives his $.02 on what to get and why if the OP wants to research the benefits to see if they’re worth it to him
To directly answer the OP question. Get the Harris. The leg snapped off on my Wally World knock off in less than a year. My Harris (9-13) made it about 10 years before a nut loosened up and the leg popped off landing the rifle in the dirt.
The Harris is better and worth the money over the knockoff from my experience
I believe my knockoff was a Stoney Point. Not sure how the blackhawks or others out currently hold up
My primary Harris bipods I use are the 6-9 and 9-13
I hate the magpul bipod with an uncommon passion after being recommended by a friend to get one. The harris isn't exactly mindblowing but its still much better than that thing. The magpul wobbles...![]()
Hey everyone
I was wondering if Harris bipods are worth their money or would Harris clones do the job? If Harris clones would not do the job, are their any specific part/s of the clones that does not work properly/adequately or is it just the general lack of quality?
for basic shooting off a table or prone on a relatively flat platform, a harris works fine.Is there anything specific wrong with the harris or are other bipods more feature rich?
My gunsmith has one on his shelf just to show people why not to buy it LOL Guess someone ordered it and just paid like 10 bucks towards it then never showed back up and he sure as shit aint gonna use it.I hate the magpul bipod with an uncommon passion after being recommended by a friend to get one.
