Night Vision COTI Firmware

Excuse my ignorance, but does anyone know if with the ECOTI’s release, civilians can now access the internal firmware of the COTI to adjust the detection settings? I found an old post on the Hide discussing this back in 2014 and how drastically it improved performance.

Also - shout to @TheHorta for hooking me up with a large COTI bracket for my PVS1531s. Size apparently matters and he delivered

Thanks. I see where he is mentioning firmware, but part of me thinks he is referring to the juiced up versions as the standard Coti’s we have now - with all the different environment options. Then another part of me thinks he may be referring to the Ecoti when talking about the enhanced image and whatnot. Maybe he had some sort of transitional unit before the Ecoti became its own thing? Definitely interested to hear what our gurus here have to say... and if they can get the necessary key or cable if in fact the Coti firmware is upgradeable.

Yeah, those are "tuned" COTI's. Now to find a wizard that will do it for you. Weren't but a handful that were out there.

One of them is out for the count at this point in the game.

Yea...this is ridiculous. Every body acting like it's hush hush. I can get a buffet of tuning for a vehicle, computer ect. What makes this one so difficult or those with the knowledge , unwilling?

My coti has had issues since I got it last year. I've reached out to Optics 1 about them. They're working on fixing it. During my initial contact I asked about this firmware unlock. They basically told me it doesn't exist. So far they've been honest and upfront with me. I have no reason to doubt them to this point. I'm guessing it's the earlier theory that current versions are the "unlocked" version.
