I think it is low probability as well but the Chinese and Russians are lobbying hard.

The key has more to do with the control of the oil pipelines.
One reason why the US currency is a safe harbor is the international agreement to use the Dollar as the basis for oil transaction...hence the name petrodollar. I t has little to do with the intrinsic worth or stats of the country.

Here is what I don’t get, they could have just pushed this vax on people secretly without all the fuss and demand. How many people get the flu shot and other stuff every year? Yeah, could have easily been swapped and nobody would be the wiser. Hell, you could have docs handing it out as shots for normal illness. Got strep, ok here is your penicillin shot, your booster strep shot or whatever and then a steroid and nobody would have thought twice about it. I don’t know none of this adds up to me...at all. I have been traveling there since 2000....buildings I visit are still standing in Shanghai, Beijing, etc. I have been hosted at some private estates owned by very wealthy industrialists that own Rolls Royces, Bentleys and Ferraris. They don't drive made in China cars. They buy name brand (non-Chinese) clothes, etc. The US has made a strong mark there. These wealthy people are more about capitalism than some that I have met here. I have also been hosted in what I would call Chinese middle class homes as well. People, for the most part, live like we do. They eat, work and sleep. They go out for enjoyment. Believe it or not, they bitch about their life like we do.
If you look at their train infrastructure, we should be so fortunate. Same goes with their airports.
To say it is 3rd world is kind of ridiculous.

I haven't worn a mask in a very long time. Yeah, first few weeks, didn't know what was up...then only at our favorite grocery store because the employees could get fined or fired if they interacted with the "unmasked". I decided we should shop elsewhere, fuck'em.
Almost everyone I know has taken the shot. I refuse because I don't want to be in some trial or study group. I'll wait until there is a full FDA approved VACCINE rather some gene therapy experiment.
My 81 year old mother and 85 year old step father both contracted this. My mom thought she had the seasonal allergy reaction going on that she has had for like 70 years. The stepdad decided he'd go get tested even though he had not one single symptom. He tested positive (of course) so the county health people pretty much demanded my mother get a test. She tested positive (of course). She went for her regular walks twice a day, got on their stationary bike like normal. still had the sniffles...NEVER put a mask on. My sister and I went shopping for them but they really just took care of themselves.
My sister and her family have all had the virus AND got vaccinated.
The wife and I have never had a symptom and have not been tested. We don't plan to be tested for something we have no symptoms of and do not plan to be "inoculated" because the damned shot doesn't do what it says AND the disorder is HIGHLY survivable anyway. We plan to allow our immune systems to do their jobs like evolutionary mankind has done. If my immune system fails to react appropriately and I die, well, c'est la vie. I was born about 60 years and a month ago and have been oxidizing ever since...it's inevitable.

Are you asking me? I think that a new technology meant to do a what old technologies have done reasonably falls under the same definition. I mean, I am digging if I am using my hands, a shovel or an excavator. It's a pretty exciting new technology, and likely, in less political times, would be more widely embraced.
