SW 50 BMG IN A 300WM

Ok I used the last of my H1000 in my 300 wm I heard that SW 50 BMG powder is also ok to use. Or did the little bird tell me wrong

I doubt you’d get full speeds but it’ll definitely push a bullet out.

I've used surplus WC 860 in a 7mm Rem Mag. Expect a larger, compressed powder charge with about 200 fps slower speeds than with a correct magnum powder.

that what I am thinking, so I have a unopened 8lbs jug of SW 50BMG going to put it up to trade/sell for some other stuff

I use 50 BMG powder in my .375 AI when fire forming cases. Fill H&H case to bottom of neck, seat a 270 grain bullet and get a whooping 1830 fps. , with lots of unburned powder in the barrel. But......it’s darn accurate!

So as mentioned in a prior post....don’t expect high velocities! memtb
