Currently, it isn't easy to get it in NZ hence I postponed that project, BTW MDT is working great.

I did something stupid and sold my older ax and then went with dad to another long range comp and now I've got to look for a new rifle and I really love the AI all in all. Will this new atxc thing run with 6br out of the box? even if I have to buy those billet 12 rounders no big deal, probably get at least one anyway. ill have 6 creeds with dtacs for when I'm serious about fighting wind.
I run an Accu-Tac WB-4 on my AT-X and love it...but it does still end up a tad short if you're shooting on anything more than a flat range.
Will probably pick up a WB-5 for it this fall.
It should with either:
AW mags and rounds pushed forward
AW mags with HRD kit
Gray ops 12rnd br/dasher AW pattern mags
The gray ops are likely best optio. Since you can control mag height.
You should also be able to run AX mags if you decide on the top two options. The front lip will likely aid in feeding.
I have both, I like the AccuTac WB5 much better, I since moved the Atlas to an AR10.
why do you torque the barrel tighter? I'd love to read any study performed by anyone on the matter.
I read about it here. Lots of AI owners found that it improved RTZ. I tried it out and it did.
I tried on my axmc when I first got it, I didn't have a torque wrench but going to slightly hand tight to definitely snug as shit made no difference for me so I always sided on the light side. maybe I got a gun that had great tolerances, idk. maybe I was always over 49 inch pounds, idk.
You can control mag height to a degree with an AI in a vision chassis too. I made sure before I bonded mine the mag height was good to run 6br from aw w hrd kit mags. I have mainly run 6bra through mine in matchs and haven't had a failure yet.
Spotted this interesting looking AI in Eberlestock's Instagram Story, looks an awful lot like an AT-X Mil otherwise known as the Mil/LEO version of the AT-XC.
That could definitely be, I don't think I had seen any pictures of the MLOK variant up to this point, so maybe AINA did some modifications since they likely are building these in the US. The stock also appears to be the AXSR stock, not the more simple one we have seen in photos so far. Could of been a user swap or maybe the AT-X Mil is going to come with the nicer stock.
NB - I edited my original post slightly, since the Keyslot final-mounting points are (admittedly) above the entry points. So in effect, its possible the MLOK points simply need to be higher to get the HW to the same place.

Yeah, it's likely mainly the mlok positioning, but I feel like I might see a slight horizontal flare in the forend where it the top edge makes the 45....if it's not just an artifact in the photo, it might indicate a slightly wider forend to allow for pockets, or just greater distance from the barrel to the mlok slots.... overcoming one of the biggest complaints against mlok in a switch barrel system...having to remove weights and attachments to remove the barrel or at very least run the risk of gouging the breech threads etc on the exposed mlok screws (keyslot is better in this regard since it mounts flush internally)
i just want to know bolt lift weights and estimated ship to customers timeframe

From what I saw in the '24 SHOT videos, the non-firing pin version had a very light bolt lift.

@Cody S the AI makes for a very rugged military sniper rifle (just not the competition trigger) that is basically a factory made turn-key precision rifle that borders on a custom for most of us civilians. Dudes buy the AI for that. Plus it adds at least 2" to your internet penis for arguments here on the 'Hide.
What they don't buy an AI for is factory support, cheap aftermarket upgrades, or a company that enjoys interacting with their consumer base (unless your a military entity with a big contract). Think of it as a part of a military machine that offers overruns to civilians at times.
But we do get badass stickers.

When did you order yours and from who? I ordered the same on March 2nd from Euro. Have no idea what number in line I am with them.

Ordered 6.5cm in dark earth from Eurooptic in mid May- I am 10th in line. They are still hearing end of July for first shipments…not holding my breath…
I understand that you probably haven't seen my other posts about a copper fouling / potential chambering issue with the factory barrel. In short, I sent both and email and left a voicemail with AINA and never heard back. Major issue? No, not really. I am not one to hound people or pursue hassles if I'm not out $$$, just take my business elsewhere for the remainder of my life. Either way, I got a 6GT barrel spun up by the cordial professional 'smith that I frequently discuss things like hog hunting, church with etc...
We are all free to pursue what we believe to be personal/professional relationships in our hobbies as we choose. I might be a partial asshole, but I'm not a complete douche. Therefore I typically establish relationships with people/companies I do business with frequently. It works the other way too...I spend at least an hour on the phone per day with clients of my wife (Vet) catching up on how things are at their homes. Time consuming? Yes. But when I do that monthly profit and loss statement it makes me smile wide.
They just reached out to me because I had requested to be notified when they were in stock... asking if I wanted to pre order. They said last they heard was end of June/ July. Guess we will see how many they ship.
things like that made me decide to save a few thousand and do a custom this time around a CDG.
I really like AI's design features but I'm going to hold off at least until they stop making design changes every year.
I heard if you have problems to go through mile high.
I never had any real problems I didn't cause so I had to pay for all small parts I fkd up on my ax but they were very reasonable fwiw.
upgrades.... you may as well buy a new rifle.

Has anyone heard any updates as to when these things might start showing up?
I spoke with a gentleman at Mile High last week and he noted that they are hoping for late July or August.
