That I can agree with. And she would certainly have been more distracting.
Also, I have seen people deploy tasers that did not stop the charging rhino of a person but I wonder if it could have helped here.

People can fight through tasers. I've seen it done with varying degrees of success. Personally I just opted to ride it out, but I did so with composure.
But tasers are most effective when the probes hit large muscle groups. That's why the ideal target location is across the back from shoulder to waist. In most people, it's fairly decently sized muscle groups and not too much covering them. Obesity is a prime factor in tasers not working correctly because there's more distance for the current to travel over before the main nervous system and the muscles. If you hit someone across the front, which is already a less-ideal target, and they're worked up on adrenaline and such plus they're heavy? Higher chance of it working less effectively.
I agree with you, too. And I have seen a few people close to her size take two full darts and a few zaps and not slow down a bit.
Kind of like Rodney King, who took several taser hits that they don't show in the videos. And he kept coming, which is why the cops had to disable him.
Oh well in regards to the darts, a single discharge fires two probes to complete the circuit, y'know. A second discharge actually pulls double-duty of sending two MORE probes into you while ALSO re-energizing the first two in case the second set don't hit properly or one falls out or something, and the little computer in the taser constantly alternates between every possible pairing of probes to ensure that the charge is delivered.
A charge only lasts five seconds, mind, unless they're set for something different. Five seconds that feel a lot longer when it happens to you! Your brain is telling you that it's only five seconds but your perception of time is warped when you're getting hit by miniaturized lightning.
I've also seen someone get tased and immediately afterward they continued to act the fool so they ended up getting a second discharge. Personally I'd comply if I got hit the first time but some folks just ain't right...
Semi-unrelated but I can now say with utter certainty...
FUCK OC spray. I apparently handled it quite well (didn't panic like a couple folks did) but those jackasses in their Florida garage who invented it can bugger off. My face feels clean now, or I hope it is, but my left arm and my hands seem to be on fire for no apparent reason.
I'd rather get tased again. And I want to avoid getting tased at all costs!
ETA: I've been adjacent to inmates getting their cells spiced up and gone into one or two briefly to retrieve their slides and such, but this was the first time I've actually been hit by it, albeit in training. But I made it through the course, didn't panic, and "took it like a champ" according to one of the instructors who started me off with the punches.
Me an another guy (everyone called him bull, he was a boncer, i had helped him bounce people there before. Lol) disarmed a guy who just stabbed someone and was yelling swinging his knife threatning everyone in the parking lot of a bar. Bull said we will get close and grab his hand and we will both jump on him. When I got close enough to grab the guy and the dude looked at me. "Bull" speared him from the side so hard the knife went flying in the air. If I had actually had ahold of the guys hand already. It might have ripped his arm off. I may have been sprayed with some drool and snot. That was two men vs one man. Not three men with body Armour batons, tazers, guns and backup vs one fat barely Mobil woman.

. I would have had made her chase me around the squad car until she collapsed. Might have been fatal too depending on her level of determination and agitation.
Sure she had knife. Technically she was a deadly threat. I would nod disapprovingly while i aquited them of any charges if i was on a jury judgeing their case. It still looks more kin to the acorn drop to me then some brave men in blue defending their lives and serving and protecting and being the thin blue line and all that. I don't give a fuck what SCOTUS says. We hire and pay for cops. We want and expect them to serve and protect.
Should they make 150k. maybe if we pay the congress critters more it will cut back on the corruption.
Should we pay teachers more? What if we get rid of licensing requirements and make the job easier to get, and quit hanging 80k in student loan debt around everyone's neck who wants to and can do it and quit making them recertify every 5 years with another 25 credit hours. And let their administrator and the parents and school board decide if they can do it.
