Looks like they're shipping now, and at $42.50 including shipping for a box of 50 they're less expensive than other lathe turned solids (WTC, PVA). Options for 308, 300 blk, and 6.5.

Who's going to guinea pig these? I don't really need another project, and not being able to use a G1/G7 based ballistic calculator limits the market, IMHO... Although they do include a mach/Cd curve in the datasheet.

Bourrelet length is awfully short, these look pretty susceptible to in-bore yaw.

These guys presented at the most recent International Symposium on Ballistics; the results in their paper were not confidence inspiring. Aerospike Base Design for Low Drag Projectiles by Stutz, Kondrat'yev, and Menser, for the curious.

If you want the "real" story the "good doctor" has managed to piss off an entire forum on Accurate Shooter.
He is absolutely the least "people person" I have ever encountered. I think he personifies Dr. Sheldon Cooper from Big Bang and then some.
He has mentioned that his bullets require special twist rates too.

Just took a peek at AS. Hard to get anything of value from those threads, it's people talking past each other and dogpiling.

My google-fu must be weak, because I can't find that IBS paper without paying $350 for the whole paperback book...
