Robert E. Lunde Obituary

Robert E. Lunde

Robert (Bob) Lunde transitioned to his heavenly home on July 3, 2024, with his family at his side. He had a long hard struggle with Alzheimer’s, but suffers no more.

Bob was born on April 12, 1946, to Richard and Evelyn (Evenson) Lunde. He graduated from Osseo High School and went on to UW-River Falls where he graduated with honors with a BS in Ag Education and Biology in 1968. While in college he met the love of his life, Margaret Isaacson. They were married on June 8, 1968. To this union three sons were born Todd (Terri) Lunde, Brent (Melissa) Lunde, and Blake (Jesse) Lunde.

Bob’s Dad decided to sell the farm at the time he graduated from college so since the farm had been in the family for 3 generations, he would make it a fourth generation. He bought the farm and did a little substitute teaching while building up the farm. He received many awards for his farming. As the farm grew, there was no time for teaching, but he became very active in cooperative work. He served on the boards of the Beef River Coop, Mondovi Coop Equity, Trempealeau Electric Coop, and served as President of the Dairyland Electric Coop. When years of Dairy farming wrecked havoc on his knees and arthritic hands, he sold the farm and began working for Countryside Coop, first managing the Mondovi site and later the Kings Valley site. Todd bought the farm to crop farm along with his other job. Later his brother Blake joined him as a partner. They are the fifth generation to farm this farm.

Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoying trips elk hunting in Colorado with his best friend, Larry Amundson and Bob’s sons, fishing in Canada with his friend Curt Skoyen, Bob’s sons and many others (Todd for 29 years). He also enjoyed Salmon fishing trips to Lake Michigan with Eric Amundson, Bob’s sons, Gary Solberg, Don Larson and others.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Evelyn Lunde; uncle, Joe who lived with them; his mother and father-in-law, Gustav and Anna Isaacson; a sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Delbert Miller; and two brothers-in-law, Ronald and Gary Isaacson. He was further preceded in death by a grandson, Carson Lunde and great granddaughter, Georgie Galligan.

Bob is survived by his wife, Margaret; sons and daughters-in-law, Todd and Terri Lunde, Brent and Melissa Lunde, and Blake and Jesse Lunde. Grandchildren, Neil Johnson, Hunter (Patrick) Galligan, Darby Martin, Christian Lunde (fiancé Chelsea Zielsdorf), Keira Lunde, Jake Lunde and great-grandchildren, Poppy Galligan and Porter Galligan. Bob is further survived by his brother, Marvin Lunde.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, July 13, 2024, at South Beef River Lutheran Church in Osseo, WI. Visitation begins at 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at church. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. with lunch to follow in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, Kings Valley Church, Osseo Rod and Gun or non- profit of your choice.

Never posted in here before, but I’m sitting in my room waiting for my fourth heart catheterization in 15 months. My last one was in March so we think it’s “just” restenosis (apparently it happens with ~30% of stents), but all my stents are the drug eluting type, so we’re not sure. Something’s not right with my body to have this many issues (with basically no risk factors such as smoking/drinking/etc.), and this whole cardiac journey is wrecking my mind, body, and finances. I don’t normally ask for help/prayers despite being religious, but I’d take any help I can get at this point… Thanks in advance!

@Basher

How you doin man?

Thanks for the follow up.

The cath went fine aside from having to go through my femoral, which always jacks up my hip and back for several days and leaves my right nut feeling like it’s in a vise. 🤣

But they found zero additional blockages and all my arteries looked good. That’s great news, but at the same time it’s frustrating and confusing as hell. I know something isn’t right based on how I feel every day and the symptoms I’m having, but whatever it is, it isn’t in my arteries. I guess there’s something called coronary microvascular dysfunction/disease, where the microvascular system (tiny arteries and veins much too small to stent) in your heart is damaged or blocked. Lifestyle changes (of which I definitely still have room for improvement on despite not being “awful”) as well as medications can help, but I know very little about it still.

So we’re kind of back to square one with my symptoms. Until we can learn more, I’m stuck feeling like shit every day and I’ll just have to push through where I can. C’est la vie. :)

Glad to hear the stents are clear.
Stinks there is still crap going on.

Im no cardiologist or doc, but have been taking care of sick patients for a long time.

One idea is to look outside western medicine for dietary ideas.
When you have stenosis, stents are good, Plavix is good, Aspirin is good, and I believe wholeheartedly whatever one can do that isnt taking pills is even better.
One would be to try to eliminate things that cause inflammation. Tougher nowadays as food is sky high and so modified it jacks with our bodies.

Will keep you on the list brother.

Since you said you are religious, give this a listen.
Best version I have heard was last week, a lady playin piano really well and 110 people (78 of them kids) all singing loud. Blew my mind.
And this one is pretty good.

Sometimes answers lead to more questions, but glad it went well and thanks for the update!

Yeah, I asked my PCP for a full blood panel and a referral to a dietician. Maybe there are foods my body is reactive to, so I’m beginning to process of accepting the fact that I may have to do an elimination diet to figure out if there are things (aside from the obvious) I need to cut out that could have drastic benefits.

I may also ask for an MRI from my orthopedic guy. I saw him once back before we found out I had heart issues and thought my pains were structural, and he referred me to a good PT guy when my x-rays looked OK. Told me if my pain didn’t clear up to come back, but that’s about when we found the heart issues so I’ve been a bit busy to go back. Maybe there’s more digging to do there. 🤷‍♂️

THIS^^^
Satan is stepping up the persecution. He knows his time is drawing short. Rev 12
That said, its going to get a lot worse before things turn. Prayer may help you cope, but it wont change whats coming. IMHO if they think he has any chance of winning they will murder Donald and a demon will take its place in the White House. In the end all you can do is prepare and keep your own nose clean. At least thats what I'm doing.

Yes. It is written. We are to pray continually. We, as christians, WILL suffer persecution. We will witness unimaginable horrors before the return of Christ, but we must stand firm until death. What we must pray for is the help from God to do that because we cannot do it on our own.

Who or what gets in the WH matters not, these things must happen and no one is coming to save us but our very Creator himself, Jesus Christ. This is worldwide, the US's existence is insignificant in the big picture- it's all about God.

I might phrase it slightly different, but yep.

I am quite partial to Alison Krauss and her singing this and this is pretty good.
Stumbled on it after listening to their version of Victory in Jesus.

Reading Psalms.
Today was Psalm 27
Recommend it.

Prayers and many blessings to all here who believe, fear the Lord, and pray for those who request it.

@502Chevelle
For sure will.
For both of you.
Its a strain on a man when his better half has struggles.
