Any old man that understands todays women, does not need to choose wisely, they know not to choose at all.
If you have not discovered how shitty most woman are....awesome for you! Should you ever get there, we will accept you with open arms, as we have been fools of "great woman" and "love" too.
There are two theories of marriage
Time to get Married theory-U reach an age, friends are all paired up, soyu marry the nearest marginally acceptable female you are dating In 5 years you will be divorced -guarantee it!
Then there is the
One in a million theory-where U wre not intending to get married, but you find the most perfect female (I am excluding gays and trans), and you realize how special she is,U know you will never find her equal, you marry, and are happy ever after.

I appreciate you being there if needed. Sorry yours hadn't been the good experience I have been lucky enough to enjoy. It might have to do with where I live? I've met hundreds of great women in the 43 years I've lived in South Carolina. Have tons of friends and family with excellent women, and men, coupled up.
When a man is married to a great wife, he usually is clueless about the dating selection because he's not looking. While I'm optimistic to a degree, I'm also not naive to all of the evil in the world and I know how few good women are actually available.
In the last census, there were 25 left. All were deaf and blind.
I'm married to a wonderful woman, now. My first wife was pure evil. Even seven years after the divorce, she continues to spread lie, after lie, about me... On FB, she publicly claims that she caught me in bed with another woman on three different occasions, when I never touched another woman while we were married and I'm the one who caught her cheating with multiple partners. Claims that I've been trying to have an affair with her since I left her. I had to change my email address so I wouldn't be harassed by her emails offering sex acts to me. She even claims that she was sick during our marriage and that I must have been trying to poison her with arsenic in her coffee creamer. She's a pathologically lying, cheating, narcissistic master of projection and gaslighting. Thank God, my second wife is all the good things the first one wasn't and I am blessed.

I had a much older neighbor couple who were both crazy- she was the OCD neurotic type A who drove her nice, mild husband crazy enough that he needed psychiatric treatment and lots of meds. Anyway, one day she stabbed him with a kitchen knife in the arm, fortunately he wasn't seriously injured.
Another time she called wanting help getting him in the car for a doctor's appointment, so I went over to help only to find out he had no intention of letting go of the sides of an inner doorway, and he made it clear he wasn't getting in that car with her- turns out it was for an appointment with his psychiatrist. She looked at me and said "can't you just put him in the car?", to which I replied "how about you go, and I'll have a beer with Jerry!"
A different neighbor ran out of her house in nothing but bra and panties, dove on the hood of her boyfriend's car and pounded the windshield while dropping trucker language on him. Both were public school teachers in their 40s at the time, and he was retired USAF and a level headed, calm guy. He was leaving without her because he refused to let her make him late for work anymore. After years of abuse he left her, like her ex-husband had years before.

No we don't! We just need less women in our lives! We live in crazy, because some men thought women needed a say in ways of the world.
A friend reminiscing on his marriage of 35 years that finally broke up, said it was the little things. He liked to put the knives in the dishwasher edge-down, and she liked to fuck total strangers.
All depends on the wife. Mine knew that guns were my main hobby, never says a word about gun stuff. She was the last one to want to take a road trip to stock up on ammo, I grabbed a new red dot, etc.
That are also always well stocked with ammo, reloading supplies and good barbecue.If they all owned liquor stores !

Another problem with modern marriage is losing your kids. Women have been coached by attorneys and welcomed by the judges to lie through their teeth with impunity.
Particularly damaging is the emotional separation of the children from the gather. The physical separation is bad enough but another level of evil is when the mother teaches and/or brainwashes the kid into hating his or her father.
I should not have to explain parental alienation to everyone here. Nevertheless, I want to encourage everyone who might be interested is to visit this young lady's YouTube channel.
I stumbled upon it a few weeks ago and can say that, as one who is the target of parental alienation, she is 100% spot on with her videos.
With that in mind, it isn't necessarily the targeted parent who needs to see these videos. It goes without saying that the alienating parent won't watch them as they won't believe or acknowledge that they are the problem.
It is the children who need to watch this lady's videos. So if you know of any children that might be interested in these videos pass them along.

48 and plan on always being single. I have friends that for some reason feel they HAVE to be with someone, even if they hate them. Another just got divorced and then ran right back to her after months of agony and telling me how bad and horrible she was.. I dont get it. I think its some kind of mommy issue. Another friend has had a few in the past decade, miserable doom and gloom relationships basically wasted his entire 20-30's on worrying, fighting, drama, pain and misery. Yet they go out and seek the same thing over and over... Like they need this figure in their life to replace their mom or something they never really were weened from the nest? Its like they are retarded when it comes to common sense people issues. You dont build a relationship, its not a house or a car where you just redo parts you dont like.. It evolves and develops and will always be the person they first were , always. I dont even know any married people anymore, none. Unless you are hellbent on farming a family, there is no point to it. That day and age has long passed....
Ding ding......we have a winner! Yes, the period for marriage is gone. Prior to 1950, might have made sense, but women today are not the same as then. They are empowered, they will do what they want, when they want, to who they want. In most cases the court will side with them.
Companionship is great, even the feeling of LOVE is great. We are living in the wrong time of history for all that. The solution to this, is DO NOT give into women. Demand the highest value of woman, and settle for nothing less. .....or just keep plowing through pussy and then act surprised when there are no good women left.

agree. kids the only reason to marry. it took me a looong time to realize that i don't "need" someone in my life to make it complete. dogs and cats can help if one has the need. they are pretty much drama free. many people confuse being isolated or "alone" with being lonely. not the same things.
To those that would tell men like me that we just "chose the wrong woman," I would say that you're probably the only one in this world that would never be tricked or conned by someone.
If you think we chose poorly then you have never been fooled before. Congratulations if you got a great wife. You are the exception rather than the rule.

Have you ever bought what you thought was a great _______________. Then discovered, after a while, that it was a POS.
If you are tempted to reply that men like me have to "get to know them and look for red flags," I would ask if you ever looked under the hood of your dream car and thought it was a great buy? Then you discover it's a POS. BTW, it doesn't have to be a car.
Women initiate 80% of the divorces in this country. If you thought that you had an 80% chance of getting shot when you go to the range would you ever go target practice?
I will admit one thing. I was stupid for getting married the 2nd time. There's a sign on my back that says "kick me.!"
So I'm not so foolish as to do it again and do my best to tell young men to not walk but run from marriage.
Until they repeal the 19th amendment, get women out of politics and the judiciary then I'll be against marriage.

I have an awesome, faithful, submitted wife, but I can also see the plight of men these days. We just passed our 19th anniversary and have several kids that love me for some crazy reason. Not sure why God was so kind to me, but as I said, I can see the plight of men these days. Women are mostly just self centered trashy sluts. If I was in the position that many of you are talking about I wouldn’t get married again. I wouldn’t get unmarried for anything and we made a promise BEFORE we even headed down the aisle that we would never use the word “divorce” no matter how tough it got. I also know that many on here are not religious and may scoff at me for being a Christian, but I will say that without God I wouldn’t be able to make this work. I’m certainly not criticizing you others for it not working for you. Maybe your fault, or maybe you just ended up with a selfish broad. My point is-that it’s not entirely hopeless to find a good woman in this current world, but it sure ain’t easy.
Been with my wife for 41 years. There have been tough times, but there have been great times. She takes great care of me, I take care of her.
If women wanted be treated like a queen then they are supposed to treat their husbands like a king; not a slave.
