What backpacks are you using to carry your rig?
This one .. approx. 200 50bmg.... 100 375CT and 200 or so 338 Lap..How many rounds with that Arken now?
I wish Erberlestock would make a square Bottom Scabberd for the DTA.Erberlestock gunslinger2 or an older 511 drag bag (shoulder straps and opens as a mat)
At the end did I see him holding a 375 round with a 390 ATIP?
Thats an understatement!!Always a good day to go to the range. Shooting clay pigeons at the thousand, quite challenging from the tripod. Could only see 800 from the hillside but was rock solid.
That so awesome lol. How is the recoil?View attachment 8503556
18” .338LM rig could hunt some caribou at night
I hunt with mine out west. They are a bit heavy compared to a lightweight traditional setup that you could get in around 7-8#. But there is a give and take to both.Just started looking at the SRS a little while ago and find it very intriguing. Part of me would like it for Montana elk hunting, but it's a bit hefty. Any way to lighten them up?
What do you guys use these rifles for mostly? (Trying to learn where they shine)
How do you carry them around over longer distances? (I heard they are awkward to carry)
Does the bolt operation take a lot of getting used to?
Appreciate any feedback!
I hunt with mine. Moose, elk. Heck, tree stand for white tail deer back east. They’re heavy, but tolerable. Out west I carry a pack with a tripod too.Just started looking at the SRS a little while ago and find it very intriguing. Part of me would like it for Montana elk hunting, but it's a bit hefty. Any way to lighten them up?

What caliber are you all using as a trainer setup? Was thinking that a 223 might be good.
Thanks!
