2403-yard shot on a can of red bull, sounds like a load of bull.

1 moa @100yds=1.047"
@1000yds=10.47"
@2400yds=25.128"
1/8 moa @ 2400yds = 3.141"

How wide is a 20oz red bull?
I don't know how many people out there could cold bore an 1/8 moa dot at 100yds.

Crazy shit can happen because the bullet had to go somewhere, but to act like It was just another day of being kick-ass you is ridiculous. If I did get a hit like that, the last thing I would do is go bullshit the bear pit about it.

I wonder if the guy has a martial arts dojo where he teaches no-touch knockouts and other deadly craft but never competes because he's just too lethal.

I have seen Tiborasaurus Rex shoot a beer can at 1,256 yards. I don't know how many shots but it looked like one. However, it seemed doable with the rifle and shooter working together right.

^ "1.2 MILs left for spin drift and coriolis" in a "no wind" situation. 3:15 in the video

Go plug anything in your calculator you want and see if you come up with anything near 1.2 MRAD "spin drift and coriolis" for a 1243 yard shot.

The fact that he states it so matter-of-fact calls his credibility into question. If anybody were shooting with me and said they were going to hold 1.2 mil of spin drift I'd immediately call bullshit. I would also call bullshit if they were talking Coriolis for anything less than 1500 yards

Like I said, I don't know how he did the shot. It seems doable, whether he actually did it or not.

I read somewhere that the Coriolis Effect is nothing to consider until past 1,000 yards and this was supposedly based on data gathered from the Army Proving Grounds at Aberdeen, Md. I could be wrong in my information.

Where would I find that 1,500 yards is the barrier for considering Coriolis Effect?

I have not and am not shooting that far. So, in my ballistics app, I am not even turning that on.

I had watched some of his Sniper 101 series and he was not actually teaching anything, just mentioning concepts.

I do know that he gives training seminars. Our illustrious host, Frank, even went to one. He felt that Rex spent too much time on internal ballistics rather than the practical solutions of getting someone on paper. That is, Frank was saying that worrying about charge weights, etcetera, is fine but a shooter gets better by learning to get on target and that is a physical thing ( I am paraphrasing.)

My personal experience with coriolis was roughly 1" @ 1000m. Shoot the target, pattern a group, and then go to the target, and shoot to where you just were. Basically shoot east to west, then west to east.. or north / south.. whatever.

It moved the group about 1" lower.

Was it just me ? Wind ? Weather ? Who knows. I took an average and guessed.

Either way it was less than a mil, moa, or bird fart.

20 oz red bull is approx 8" high and 3" wide.

number 1 way you can tell he is a fraud - he never ever uses a scope cam.

he brags about his $4500 setup and bullshit yet refuses to buy a $200 scope-based cam to prove himself?? that and the common sense factor of shooting something that small at that distance - I can't wait for his loyalist to discover the fraud and attack him until he goes away forever.

That and watching him pull out his "best match ammo" he only has 7 left out of his jacket pocket - what a clown.

Can't happen. His audience are incapable of figuring this out, because he makes content for people who don't actually shoot. He's a gun tuber for people who don't use guns. Nobody who actually shoots regularly would watch his content unironically.

Let me think about that, no. I popped in for an hour, and it's proven to be majority idiots who I need not waste my time with. Now how the f*** do I get this site to stop emailing me?

Saw a short from this guy the other day where he was determining for the viewer how far away you had to be to dodge a bullet fired from an AR based off of reflex time. He was editing (hopefully) the video to make it look like he was jumping behind a tree with the bullet impacts appearing on the trunk. I'm sure some of it was done as humor, but WTF.

Of course the 8-9 comments I read were uber positive, and couldn't have been penned better if he'd had written them himself.

I've not rooted for a mishap so badly in a while...and what kind of LARP'ing moron tries to decide at what distance you can start dodging a bullet?

Color me extremely skeptical on all of his "marksmanship" accomplishments.

At this point I'm convinced it's ableist to make fun of him and his viewers.

I'll tell you what Windex-buddy, It's a mild autumn here in SLC, UT. I'll fly you out here, I will get a local company to film it, and I'll pay you $500 per day for 3 days plus travel expenses and all I want you to do is hit an 18" plate at 2400 yards, all expenses paid for by me. I will make a legally-binding, lawyer-vetted contract, we will sign before a notary, and you will post video compiled by the pros -at their sole discretion - from your attempt on YOUR channel and leave it there for perpetuity else you owe me reimbursement for expenses as damages.

If the terms aren't sweet enough, make me a counter. But beware: if it's too steep, everybody will know you're just scared and unwilling to do it.
@secondofangle2 called his bluff and he went silent hahah

I remember reading a long time ago in article by Elmer Keith that he zeroed his rifles 1 click ( 1/4 minute)to the left of dead on to compensate for spin drift. Of course he wasn't shooting the long distances we do today. I'll admit I tend to zero my rifles just a smidge to left of center because of his teachings. Does it truly make a difference ? I don't know but don't believe it's hurt anything..

How was he determining when the shooter fired the shot at him? Can't be the sound, because the bullet is going to get there long before the sound does. That leaves seeing the rifle recoil (very little on an AR to see), or maybe a puff of smoke, but if you're far enough away that you have enough time to dodge it before it reaches you, you are also so far away you aren't going to be able to see any of those things either.

Well, he's a fucking retard so...

I've watched about 45 minutes of his stuff over the past few months. I've noticed that he 1) Made a video discussing how a "man" makes a lot of money (I'm paraphrasing), yet he recently made an Arken video where he noted that he barely had any money until a few years ago for guns. 2) He boasts about having a "$7K" camera, yet can't afford a $600 Triggercam or Phone Skope - which would have validated all of his outlandish precision claims right off the bat had he been honest. 3) I have only watched two of his pistol shooting videos, but both were heavily edited.

Sometimes it is like a train wreck...you just can't look away. I do the same thing with the Outdoor EDventures channel when it comes to his hunting stuff...that dude is a professional animal wounder.

Who was that night vision guy on this site that bought up a bunch of S&B reissue scopes and then when mocked, went straight off the deep end?

That ending is what I feel is in store for Mr. Windex.

It’s be funny for someone with legit ELR skills with a video team in tow to find this Overton. Ideally someone with a mil background too, just to impress his no-brain fan base.

Find him and challenge him at his perfect laminar flow home range, like now.

When Overton predictably declines the invite, then just keep knocking on his door, day after day.

I just want to see his practiscore page and look at his results but knowing what a gigantic pussy he is, he either won't share it or hasn't shot any matches.

I have noticed in his comments that he is rude. If someone questions his assertations, he points that he knows more than the commenter, knows more than some others with experience in the field.

One commenter talked about being in the military and he stated that yes, the training they received from DoD was lacking, in so many words.

So, is he now claiming that he was in the military? Which branch would that be? MOS? Nothing to be ashamed about.

My FIL was in the 9th USAAF 410 Lt Bomber Group 646th Squadron in WWII and worked in the mess hall. And also helped taking care of german POWs because he spoke and understood some german (ancestry led to that. His grandparents and that of the other half of a big family came from Oppendorf and Wehdem, Germany.)

I have also known a SEAL and a Ranger. Navy pilot. One step-father was a second class boiler tech aboard the USS Ogden.

I never got serve because of medical reasons.

So, yeah, he does not have to be from the 10th or anything fancy like that. And where does he get the expertise from?
