why not order it with the aluminum, and try and take that out and fill with lead if you want heafty chonk.
I really like the brass look on the dark distressed.
I ordered the centurion grip Samson for CDG

aah so running aw in a 2 lug, gotcha. I saved money and got a cdg to run with aw mags.
I got the Hawkins (AW latch) with my Centurion for a LP Fuzion barreled action I have on order. If there are feeding difficulties when it finally arrives, I'll be switching to the MDT bottom metal. It's nice to know there's a fix, even if I wish I had known about it before I got the Hawkins.

Nah running CDG, but MDT latch is way easier to adjust.
did you want the ability to run both? my understanding that when I ordered my Samson it would come with the appropriate latch to work with only AIAW mags unless I change it. but I definitely might not understand the situation fully.
I have no desire to run aics on a cdg personally.

Did you order the Samson with a Hawkins bottom metal they are providing you?

If so, it will come setup to run AICS mags.

The advantage of the MDT bottom metal is you can adjust magazine height. Whether this is using the variety of AICS mags, AW mags, or Rimx/Vudoo mags... The height adjustability does t exist on other bottom metals without more effort.

I ordered mine cut for Hawkins M5, but didn’t purchase Hawkins M5 DBM with it. If that purchase price includes DBM I’d dance on the roof. 🤩

As @NiteQwill stated, by default it comes set to run with AICS and you need to purchase the short latch if it’s ever in stock. I sourced one years ago and it was a pain. I’ve never been able to find the Hawkins in stock configured with AW latch. The mag latch is one of my favorite features of the ACC Elite so I’ll buy MDT’s overpriced DBM to get it.

Well, I pulled this one out of the safe and dusted it off in preparation of its soon to be here CRB 1/9 twist barrel chambered in 308.... thought I would test out some new 177 SMKs while I wait for the new barrel. Guess this old barrel likes them... used the junction of lines at the top of the red circle as an aiming point... this one might get some more use down the road.

how much of a difference is there on the grip angle and LOP from the mg2 vs the centurion? Currently shooting the mg2 and wondering if it’s worth the switch

LOP should be the same (unless you ask Foundation to go shorter).

The grip angle is significantly different since it's vertical vs angled.

I would defer to @Sheldon N as I know he has both.

I wish they made a prs22 competition oriented stock for the cz 457 rimfire. I love foundation.
if I had to pick one it'd be the samson.Samson.
don't get me wrong, there's enough options out there, but once you go black(micarta)...

The current “family.” L-R: Samson/Centurion black, Samson/Genesis 2 dark distressed, Centurion dark.

Main match rifle is the left, with 223 trainer on the right. Center is the current project and is about to become a 25x47.

I’d also like to say the MDT Precision Bottom Metal is awesome. It’s not the prettiest, but it dropped right in and the adjustable mag latch was essential in fine tuning the 223 mags.
